Gotta agree. While I think it was a great inbounds call it is, as are all plays, guard able. Wouldn't say anyone feel asleep, more that they got tunnel vision on Barrett and the rim.
What trick? The white dude down crashing to the baseline where anyone would figure he would go? The only other option for him would be to screen for Reddish, in which the defender would still need to stick on Cam. My point isn't knocking the play. It was a good play for sure. My point is there are two people who are going to take that shot. They ignored one of them because of some guy who was never, ever going to get the ball and was already covered. The guy who blew it had nothing to do with RJ and never would in that setup. That is bad D. Even some of the basketball guys (who don't hate Duke) on Twitter seem to realize this. It doesn't take away from the play.
They didn't take the lead at the buzzer, which is what he meant, but they did win at the buzzer. They sure didn't lose at the buzzer.

He does seem to get the Shaq treatment in that regard. That said, the play didn't look that bad live. He already lost the ball when it happened and and I don't think anyone saw the face contact at the time. Except for Zion, unfortunately.
The foul that caused the ball to come loose was when the guy hit Zion's arm. That was prior to the eye poke. Though he was likely to come up empty without the foul anyways.
Idk, I just watched it five more times and I'm not seeing it. I think he lost the ball on his own. No one on the coaching staff, players on the bench, or even fans in the stands argued the no call. In fact, no one even stands up.
kid should be suspended. there were a few calls i thought that didn't go duke's way that led to FSU taking the lead at end of the first half. that was a key stretch because there was a time, just before, when it looked like duke was gonna run away from fsu.
To win that game without Williamson, and with White playing so badly, really amazing.

Duke ultimately got the call at the end though so I dont see how Duke fans can complain about the refs. Ball clearly changed spin direction after hitting the Duke player on its way out. No way that shouldve been overturned.
Great game, not determined by the refs. Frustrating calls? Sure. But the game was determined by great plays.

Yeah, he didn’t touch that. It was a clear call even in real time... not sure how they got it wrong to begin with.

You are doing your part to right the potential but non-existent wrongs that aren’t really there. Always the victim but not really because you are only retaliating for what might, but actually didn’t, happen. Has to be tough to always come up with these things so you can do what you do.
