Corruption

Where’s a link proving he broke the Logan Act? Weird you keep ignoring that. Lol
It's called common sense and being able to read. There won't be an article stating he violated the Logan Act because he wasn't charged and convicted, and America has these things called libel laws.

I guess OJ didn't murder his exwife because he was never convicted.

Edit: For the record, I don't think it really should have been illegal. (I think it was after Trump had won? But im too lazy to look it up.) But the law is the law, and he did break it.

Yup. Just what I thought. No link. He didn’t break the Logan Act. Provide me a link proving he did and I’ll believe you. Otherwise, it’s just you’re just lying.

Eyeroll So like I said... OJ was innocent too then, right?

Trump says he was fired for lying to Pence about this conversation but he was actually charged for denying it took place when questioned by the FBI.

Right. He was fired for lying to Pence he had a conversation. He was convicted of lying to Mueller about it. Nowhere does it say he admitted to breaking the Logan Act. Global is pawning off as fact which in fact, it’s not.

I read his statement word for word to a laywer and they laughed at his statement. I'll take the lawyers word for it over the guy who thinks a sitting President can violate the Logan Act.
I have just enough shame in my Rivals habbit that I am embarrassed by how much time I spend arguing politics here. I would never consider posting while in the company of other people, let alone talking to them about it. Some company you must be. I bet if we were talking about the stock market, you would just so happen to be sitting next to a broker.

I’m posting this in this thread so the guy doesn’t see it. I’m sitting here at a coffee shop in Louisville. Sitting outside. Through the window, I am currently looking at a guy, whose about 50, on his laptop. He’s currently on Rupp’s Rafters looking at a bikini thread. My girlfriend doesn’t understand why I think it’s so funny. If he ends up on the college basketball board and I see him go to this thread it’s going to get awkward. I can’t think of any regular on here who it’d be. I think I’m good.

If he looks over his shoulder at you just give him the shush signal while staring him down

I was really tempted to post a thread on Rupp’s Rafters while he was looking at board and take off after I posted it. Girlfriend talked me out of it.

My wife went to grad school with, worked with, and is very close friends with a girl who dates a lawyer who is writing up a contract for me to buy ~$2000 worth of property from my neighbor (dumbass story behind this). I was not sitting next to him, I was on the phone with him. He's a buddy and I thought he could tell me if I was being obtuse and missing something, nothing more nothing less. Is it that unbelievable that someone would converse with a lawyer? Are they supposed to be some sort of mythical creature? I talk to lawyers through work fairly regularly, though I wouldn't think of talking politics with someone from work.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't know any stock brokers (I live in Ohio).

It doesn't make me feel better at all. In fact, it is extremely disappointing. I had questions about stocks. Was hoping that you knew somebody who was a sister of somebody who was dating somebody who was a broker who you trusted so much that you were willing to put a $2,000 dollar piece of property on the line for a promising investment.

I just didn't ask you for any of that information. It was a strange tactic. I don't know which would be more sad. If you are telling the truth, or you aren't. It doesn't really matter either way. You are stubborn. I can be too, but you are pretty stubborn.

Was just giving context to "I happened to be on the phone with a lawyer", which admittedly sounds like BS. If you want to think its BS, or sad... I don't really care.

So, Donald had an affair with a housekeeper and had an illegitimate child? The hits keep coming. Wonder what the next inquirer story will be? I wonder if Donald is regretting this whole thing? Gotta assume he really is... he had a good life!

This doesn’t move the needle for anyone. Everyone knew he was a scumbag. He’s been married how many times? Like three? Four? If the grab her by the pussy comment, affairs with playboy models and just all his degrading comments to other women didn’t have any impact, doubt this does either.

I get it though. You hate Trump and love to just point these things out. Hate to break it to you but it’s absolutely pointless. This type of thing won’t change any opinions.

Not a big deal. Unless Trump specifically told Cohen to use campaign funds to pay those two women, it's not a big deal for Trump. Also, if Trump told Cohen to reimburse himself with campaign funds, then it would be a big deal. Both of those seem unlikely that Trump did that given he's worth billions and billions of dollars.

Again, this is a much to do about nothing regarding Trump, if you ask me. Democrats will think this is the end of Trump. Republicans will say it's not an issue for Trump. We'll likely be in the same spot we have been this whole time. Dems want him out. Republicans don't care.

You’re gonna “not a big deal” yourself to death. Trump is worth billions and billions of dollars? You sure Jody?

Not really. Those things don’t matter to me. I knew He was a scumbag when I voted for him.

Jody? Not sure what that’s about.

It isn’t a big deal to you that Trump violated campaign laws to win? That means he cheated, right? You are okay with cheating as long as the end result is good for you?
I am envisioning you still missing Sampson as coach, because let’s be honest. He has been the best coach IU has had in quite some time. Who cares if he was bending the rules, amirite?

That’s not what I said. Doesn’t seem like you followed along very well. I was commenting on the story that thedude1 posted. I said all of those issues aren’t a big deal and I even listed several related that are already known. Wow. Lol. Maybe have some coffee and reread what I wrote.

We also don’t know that he violated campaign finance laws. That’s the allegation in the media. We’ll need to see evidence that Trump absolutely knew or ordered Cohen to use campaign funds instead of his personal funds.

Also, no need to be a douchebag. I get it as that’s just kind of who you are, but maybe try not to be such an insufferable douchebag all of the time.

I think Trump is worth billions, sure. But not as many billions as he says he is.

Having an illegitimate child is pretty amazing.

BTW, the right has totally given up on being the party of family values and morals and all of that. That was a big deal, in terms of GOP branding/marketing, for the last few decades. Do you think they will ever try to claim that again, or is that basically gone?

Oh, and my guess is that Flynn violated the Logan act. But he is playing along with Mueller, so it’s not gonna go anywhere. We already know he was discussing Russian sanctions with Russia before President Trump was in office.

Russian collusion, Stormy Daniels, Trump is a meanie, and the other 200 weekly deflections the Liberal Loonies put out still don't change a thing.
Hillary isn't the President and if and when Trump is impeached, Hilary still wont be the President!

Gotcha. I’m a douchebag because you have lost your moral compass.
Trump has openly admitted to campaign finance violations while attempting to spin his story. Bottom line, he cheated and is now attempting to obstruct federal and state agencies...and you’re fine with it.

Noted.

This is groundbreaking, can you provide a source of your claim. A actual quote would be great, if you can. Once I get this, I will forward this to CNN and break this story. All credits will be yours, this needs to be out in the open. Thanks in advance!

You realize that’s not what we were talking about right? I mean, you do follow that, right? You get we’re talking about Trump’s infidelities, right? Not the campaign finance stuff, right? Surely you can follow along a basic conversation, right?

You’re a douchebag because you brought something into the conversation that wasn’t even remotely discussed. Lulz. No chance you actually went to Purdue...

A little background, of what he is likely referencing, from Business Insider...

Trump appears to have a misunderstanding of campaign-finance law, and may have inadvertently admitted to breaking the law as a result

Ohh I was looking forward to seeing a quote or video where Trump openly admittedly to campaign violations. I thought we had him, damn.
If you or anyone has the actual quote or video, put this up on here asap. My nephew is friends with a intern for Jake Tapper at CNN, and he has his number on speed dial. This could be huge!!

Are you guys for real? He said in the Fox interview that he paid Cohen back from his own pocket. He accepted the illegal contribution, reimbursed Cohen, and even from his own pocket, that’s illegal, escpecially so if he didn’t report it.
Y’all seem to want to forget that people involved have been granted immunity, the story continues to change, each revision opens up new allegations, and that numerous people have already been founded be criminals at the highest level of the campaign.

I mean c’mon now. Just because you haven’t hit the water yet, if you jumped off the bridge, it’s gonna happen. There is enough there for a reasonable mind to see a pattern and wrong doing. Wide spread wrong doing.

Had Obama been playing this game and the dems here were saying the same, y’all would be laughing at them.

Just silly how some folks hold onto fantasy when the acid wore off year ago.

Just like we were told there was NO WAY Trump would win the election. Given the current political climate and the untrustworthiness of the main stream media, forgive me if I want to wait until there is real tangible evidence of a committed crime on Trump’s part. I dont buy into conspiracy theories.

Trumps own words isn’t a conspiracy theory.

Some Republicans are still talking about Hillary Clinton for God’s sakes, and she was investigated for everything and nobody found anything. And yet we are sure that Hillary killed four CIA employees and gave Russia tons of uranium for weapons! o_O
