Conspiracy Theories, Patriotism & Regional Dairy Costs

What a piece of shit.

I am a retired, middle class person. I live in rural Kentucky. My house is 4,000 square feet with all the amenities.

I have the highest speed internet, all cable channels, free phone to all North America, central American and European Union nations. I can even get all the Duke games!

I have fantastic health care. My open-heart surgery cost me a whopping $2.00 U.S. My knee replacement cost the same $2.00.

I have friends in Europe who are fvcking broke. Why?

I don't give a shit about your rankings as they are schewed toward a bunch of fascist crap. I went to Wal Mart yesterday and a dozen eggs were $.42. A gallon of whole milk was $0.92. Rib eye steak was $8.98 a pound. Canvass your buddies in Europe and find out what they pay for a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs or a gallon of milk.

Our gasoline in the U.S. is cheap, our cars are cheap, and we have the interstate highway system where we can go 70+ mph to any damned place we want to go. In Europe it is crowded and more damned laws than you can throw a stick at.

So, you go ahead and tell us how great Europe is. HELL MAN, you can’t even hunt a damned rabbit in that god forsaken piece of earth because you can’t own a god damned gun.

Geeze get a life. On the other hand why don’t you ****ing go to Europe and find out for yourself instead of lecturing the free Americans.
Milk is more like $3/gallon here. Eggs are around $1.50 last I checked, though we have our own chickens, so it's been a while. And milk is about $3/gallon.

But that's anecdotal. If you call up your friends in Europe and they say they're hungry, do you assume there's no food on the continent? If they have to go to the bathroom, do you assume the streets all smell like pee?

I provided you with links to different research attempting to quantify standards of living using various factual criteria. They're not my rankings. I didn't say anything about how great Europe is, though it's nice to visit.

People in Europe hunt. Their gas is very expensive, but it's not that big of a deal b/c they have great transportation on the entire continent.

Why don't you curse at me some more, bert? That'll show everybody who's boss.

I am sorry if I hurt your feelings.

I can't believe that you pay $3.00 for milk. Wow.

The trains in Europe are subsidized.

This was such a weird post.

Your personal healthcare costs are irrelevant to this conversation, as you obviously have a different plan than 99% of Americans - many of whom cannot even afford healthcare in the US. Americans spend more on Healthcare than any other country in the world.

High speed internet? Whoa! So does most of Europe, including these countries which have faster average internet speeds than the US: Romania, Ireland, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway, etc.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/...ries-with-fastest-internet-connection-speeds/

You have friends in Europe that are "fvcking broke, why?" - OMG, your friends are poor - so everyone in Europe must be poor too!

US isn't even #1 in wealth per capita, they fall behind #1 Switzerland (which is in Europe, btw). 6 of the Top-10 countries in the world are located in Europe. Maybe your friends just suck?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_financial_assets_per_capita

You can drive 70+mph on the highway in a gas guzzling, pollution dispensing cheap car? Whoa! Ever hear of the autobahn? Ever realize that other than pickup trucks (which is mostly just a US thing anyway), most American cars fall behind compared to Japanese, European luxury, or even Korean cars?

And lastly, you get cheap eggs and milk at Wal-Mart. Awesome. A despicable company that puts smaller competitors out of business, avoids paying taxes, imports most of its junk from China, and has thousands of employees that are on government assistance because Wal-Mart doesn't pay them enough or schedule them enough hours. But hey, at least your eggs (which are likely sourced from a factory-farm that abuses the animals) are cheap!

Shall we now compare some of the advantages Europe has over the US? How about the fact that they are healthier, and have longer life expectancy? Or that most European countries have less violent crime than the United States? Or that they have lower incarceration rates? Or that the food they eat is less processed junk and less genetically modified (if at all) than what is available in the US? Or that they have less STDs, less teen-pregnancies, and less abortions than in the US? Or that employers in Europe provide more paid vacation time as well as paid maternity leave (which isn't even mandatory in the US - one of only 4 countries on the planet that doesn't provide this!)?

But hey, at least you got your big ol' house and can drive your gas guzzling truck 70mph to buy your eggs for $0.42 a dozen (which I'm not sure I even believe) from a corporate entity taking advantage of us taxpayers! MURICA!

Yeah, I think you guys are trolling. There is no way any normal human being with an IQ higher than 70 would believe that all of these mass shootings are some coordinated event funded by "the 1%" as some massive plan to... do something.
IU fans never cease to surprise.

Please take your Korean car with you!

I read your links and your post and I found it interesting. You do have me on being a straight up homer. But my post sure as hell was not nonsensical.

Here are the facts that I gleaned from your post.

The egg deal was from Mass. and was 8 years old you had to really search deep for that.
Where do you shop? Ever been to a Wal Mart? Costco? Kroger? Safeway? I assume you just go out on the range and chase deer. It is sure hard to find eggs from free range chickens!

The standard of living articles you link did not support your "facts".
Folks in Swiss have more euro than Americans have dollars.
Food cost are higher in Europe, some double those in the US.
House sizes in Europe are less than half those in the US and Canada.
You brag about the German Autobaun. It is 8,073 miles, the U.S. Interstate system 46,876 miles long. So that is a shitty comparison.
The BMW's and Mercedes Benzs guzzle gas also, (I looked it up) so what is your point?

Internet speed is really important. I have 300,000 Mbps and most of the time I need less than 20 Mbps, but the cable company gave me a good price and I could not pass it up.

Some thing to dwell on. The U.S. produces more patents than the rest of the world combined. Why? The U.S. has all sorts of patents on crops that you hate; however, without our college system and ag business putting out better ways to grow food half the world would starve.

I am just trying to figure out how Europe has a higher standard of living than the US.

Oops: 300 Mbps. 300,000 would bring some heat. Please forgive me for fudging the numbers a little.Eyeroll

You didn't. But you wouldn't have been sorry anyway.

Yeah, you struggle any time something is different from your personal experience.

So is our milk.

No you aren't. You're doing everything you can to claim absolutes disrespecting everything you don't understand and refuse to learn. It's what you do on pretty much every topic. You're scared of change because it reminds you how irrelevant you are.

Actually Dat I was sorry and gave it a try to amend my being nasty.

On the other thread I posted my local Wal Mart's price for milk. You and MileHighSpartan indicated that it was a lie. As a rule I do not lie. Here is what my local price for milk is. My neighbor is the dairy where it comes from. It is $0.98.

No one cares how much your milk costs, that is the point you keep failing to miss. You keep bringing up irrelevant things to compare countries against each other. Europe and pretty much the rest of the planet also has milk, eggs, internet, and cars.

The argument was the U.S. was BEHIND Europe in most things and that most of Europe had a better standard of living than the U.S.

The discussion was standard of living. Standard of living is defined as “the degree of wealth and material comfort available to a person or community.” The price of commodities, housing and utilities dictate standard of living versus the money you make. The US is near the top of income, commodities are cheaper, housing is cheaper, thence a higher standard of living. You come back with a long list of horrible things in the US.

I think that the US standard of living is higher than Europe. You can disagree, but the only thing that you can't do is to disprove the US leads in most fields.

My list that showed that Europe is ahead in health, it is safer for crime, less people imprisoned, etc.

Those are horrible things?
