Do tell
I have wondered the same. But on top of being a hater, phil was also a major Duke homer. This douche just hates.Is this phil?
I think at first a lot of posters thought he was a UK guy, but he rips UK every chance he gets. But you're right, he really hasn't tooted Duke's horn as much as Phil didI have wondered the same. But on top of being a hater, phil was also a major Duke homer. This douche just hates.

Yours and yours only, booI'm gonna make you toot MY horn.
Not sure who was telling you that Coach K's time with team USA did not help recruiting. What I can tell you is that those that said that....were as wrong now as they were then. Of course it is an advantage.,I have no idea whether Lebron's boy is any good or not but Lebron loving K is well known, though we were told the USA connections didn't help K a few years ago. ESPN is basically one huge Duke promo anyway, though I don't think they really need it with the way K has been recruiting anyway.
I feel like KD has passed him up at this point.I don't know who the best player on the planet is right now, but it's not the dude that complains to the refs every time down the floor and plays worthless defense. LeBron used to take pride in his defense, not anymore.
I’ll need a link for where MJ gave K some public love & support.
If you think LeBron is the best current player in the league, then I question your intelligence.Since the post to which you responded was "the best player on the planet," that means that you:
I think it's D, personally, but maybe I've somehow overestimated your intelligence.
- Don't know how language works;
- Misread and thought the words "on the planet" were "of all-time";
- Think that a 55 year old MJ is the best player on the planet; or
- Got so triggered by the words "Lebron" and "best" that you felt compelled to make this dumb post.
I'm a Kobe fan, always will be. But I've really grown to appreciate LeBron over the years. He's not Jordan, probably won't ever catch his accomplishments, either. But I would say LBJ could definitely grab the number two spot all time. I also think he's still the best player in the NBA, but KD and AD are closer than they have been in years past.If you think LeBron is the best current player in the league, then I question your intelligence.
I’m in no way disrespecting LeBron. He is a beast, no doubt.I'm a Kobe fan, always will be. But I've really grown to appreciate LeBron over the years. I can see AD getting there. I am way out at Harden though. Amazing offensive talent but an equally bad defender. That does not say best player in the world to me. Of course we all have out own criteria on that so I don't blame you for placing Harden up there. I will agree with you on one thing, Durant is right there if not better than LBJ at this point.I’m in no way disrespecting LeBron. He is a beast, no doubt.
I think KD, Harden & Davis are all better than LeBron.
IMO Kobe is better than LeBron. LeBron has all the talent in the world, he just doesn’t have that savage mentality that Kobe & MJ had.

What in the hell are you talking about? I don’t hate LeBron. I have all the respect in the world for him... I’m definitely not threatened about him overtaking MJ. That will never happen.You're confusing regular season "savage mentality" with better at basketball.* We all know that LBJ coasts in the regular season and has for years, but when people say best in the world (or best alive) they're not talking about regular season awards like MVP or All-NBA. I tend to weigh performance on the biggest stage (i.e. playoffs) over the regular season (where LeBron still kills Kobe) as a measure of greatness. Yes, LBJ was weirdly passive and wilted against the Mavs in 2011, but overall LBJ is the king of playoff elimination games where Kobe wilts.
* I have a theory that you're so butthurt about people comparing LeBron to MJ that you tell yourself that you actually believe that "Kobe is better than LeBron," but deep down you know that's not even remotely true. The cognitive dissonance must be stressful. Relax, take a load off, and acknowledge reality. It's fun.
To my recollection, I never saw Jordan mail in even a meaningless regular season game, let alone the NBA finals. That guy was the epitome of competitive. I am someone who has seen the entirety of both James' and MJs' careers, and I take Jordan as the better player every single time. James is still the best right now IMO.....when he wants to be.That's a good argument for Lebron. I won't dispute he is one of the best ever and obviously one of the best now. I just can't get over that series where he just mailed it in though. Maybe it isn't fair to compare him to an MJ or some of the old school guys though. I still think KD has slightly overtaken him but he has his own issues as well obviously.
nah, they will run out of black hair dye before then.LaughingHe'll be there until he's 112, and his entire body will be bionic by then.
Yeah, not sure how this could be construed as anything but a huge plus?!Lebron is still the best player on the planet. And I don’t care what he does on the court to be honest. Him recognizing Duke and K publicaly is what’s appealing. Kids idolize Lebron and him making statements like this certainly don’t hurt.
Without question. Haters gonna a hate.The Cavs were in the NBA championship last year, Lebron leaves and they're the worst team in the league. Put Harden, Davis, or Durant on the Cavs right now and I would bet anything that they don't make it to the championship this year. LeBron is still the best.
