Okay okay, @brooky03 here you go.

Truth be told, I wanted to do a Kabengele ferocious scream avatar, such as this one from our demolishing of Cuse in the Dome this year:

But with him declaring, it feels weird since he isn't on the team right now and I'll spare you having to wait all the way to June to see if he pulls his name out.

My next thought was trying to find one from a top five all time favorite play of mine, when T-Buck pulled the fake fair catch and then housed the punt return against Cuse in the Dome back in 1989. Dang we destroyed a good Syracuse team that day. But this is a basketball board, so I want to stick with that.

So I'm thinking, as long as it doesn't look too jacked up as a small picture, we go with this shot of Ham giving the ol' "Doubt my team at your own expense?" smile:

I was born in '91 so I'm not even aware of that football play. Good choice going away from it.

Oh man, y'all had some very good teams back in the late 80s/early 90s. Very good. The problem was, FSU and Miami were just on another planet from the rest of college football. This was back before the 85 man limit, and before recruiting became national so most of south Florida talent was sort of unknown, man those rosters were just loaded. Would make Bama look like an average top 15 team today. FSU and Miami fielded teams of grown ass, bad mamma jammas and they had the swag to go with it.

Y'all went 8-4 in 1989 with a Peach Bowl win over UGA. But FSU won 41-10 in the Carrier Dome. 1991 y'all finished 11th in the nation at 10-2 and a bowl win over Ohio State. Lost to FSU 46-14.

Anyway, here is the fake fair catch. This was not a call from Bobby, even though Bobby loved trick plays. It was all Buckley and earned him the nickname "the Foola from Pascagoula."

My parents had season tickets during the McNabb years. My dad tells the Virginia Tech comeback (McNabb puke game) story any chance he gets.

Unfortunately for me, especially as a 'football kid', I never really got to experience many good Cuse football teams after age 9. Cuse basketball winning it all in 2003 is, no doubt, the reason I'm such a big Cuse bball fan.

All fair. I was born and raised in Tallahassee so I would have been a Nole regardless. But my experience in hoops is similar to you with Orange(men) football. I was 10 or so when Charlie Ward, Bob Sura, and Sam Cassell were flying up and down the court, but after that it was a loooooong time in the dark ages for FSU basketball. That's one reason I'm so grateful for Leonard Hamilton. He not only brought us out of the wilderness, he's actually turned us into a program of relevance in the best conference in the country. ACC Championship, multiple Sweet 16s and an Elite 8?! That would have been unfathomable circa 2000 or 2001.

And you know what? I wouldn't be shocked if Dino Babers was the same type of guy for Cuse football that Ham has been for FSU basketball.

LOL Brooky is a giant ***it. Has Duke ever had a Syracuse avatar for longer than a week?

Dino has created an identity for the program, which it lacked for a long time. It's nice to see SU at least in the discussion to land some legitimate athletes now. The only problem is that Dino will be headed to greener pastures if he keeps this up.
