Braggin' Rights is back

Who in the Big 10 do you tihnk is better? MSU, Iowa or Wisconsin?

Have you even watched Illinois play, outside of the Baylor game? BTW, that game was tied with 12 minutes to go....A 3 point game around 10 minutes...Baylor went a 9-0 spurt, that pretty much iced the game....Its not as if Baylor just steamed rolled Illinois, dude. Not to mention, Kofi being in foul trouble.

There are not, nor will there be, 15+ better teams than Illinois....They are as good as anyone.

Illinois was outplaying Baylor and that game was tied

Track record does come into play.

Both teams know who they are and know what they have to do to win.
Wisconsin has older guards and pretty much besides Michigan St represents B1G basketball.

Michigan State has showed regardless of seed they will be a threat
So how they finish in the B1G isn't as important as others.
Just so you know....Lat year, Illinois finished 13-7.....ONE whole game behind MSU and Wisconsin. Illinois returns Ayo, Kofi, Frazier and Bezhanishvilli off that team...They added 5^Adam Miller....4* Andre Curbelo...

As for "know who they are"....Frazier is a Senior....Ayo is a Junior...Bezhanishvilli is a Sr....Kofi is a soph..Pretty sure those guys know who they are, and what Underwood expects.

Wisconsin and MSU pretty much represent the Big10----Except that OSU and Michigan have been to a combined 5 Elite 8's and 3 FF's the past 8 seasons.

I do not see how you can say Wisky and MSU "know who they are", yet dismiss Illinois from that conversation....How is that possible?

But you accept what you just wrote as verifiable proof those teams are legit contenders?

There always is doubt going into a season about every team
There hasn't been anything yet to question Michigan St or Wisconsin.

On the otherhand Underwood doesn't have the resume to give him the benefit of the doubt yet
Nothing against Illinois or Underwood

Teams don't play balance schedules in the B1G so they are hard to compare by just looking at the record

Ok.....And? No one said Illinois was better than Baylor. So not sure WTF that has to do with anything. AS of now I think its apparent Gonzaga and Baylor are a notch above the rest....But after that, its pretty even, brother. How you can say Villanova, Texas, etc, etc....But not Illinois, is beyond me. Villanova lost to VaTech....who got prison raped at home by fukin Penn State. Texas is good...really good. But they are not on some platform that Illinois is not. Nor is Nova....Or MSU....Or Wisconsin.

Illinois checks every box: Guards....Bigs....defense...shooters..play makers...

Not sure what you are having trouble with here. I mean there is not a single "expert" that doesn't feel Illinois is a legit FF team.

My point is what has MSU or Wisconsin shown you this year that is verifiable proof they are legit but Illinois isn’t?
MSU beat Duke. Oh wait.

Wisconsin lost to Marquette and they're better than Baylor. Oh wait.

It's simply emotional.

That is College Basketball...

Teams are going to lose games they shouldn't 99% of the time.

My opinion of Illinois can change

I don't see them getting a 1 or 2 seed.
Most of the NCAA Tournament is where you are in the bracket.
Difference in playing Baylor in the Sweet 16 or playing them in the Final 4 or NC game

We also played a harder Big Ten schedule than all of those teams, and we beat Wisconsin At Kohl's Center.

Illinois almost lost to Ohio...

We can play that game

Wisconsin's performance against Marquette was much better than Illinois against Ohio
That's simply College Basketball. Or can only you use that when it suits you?

Ohio is a solid team. They'll be in the tournament. It happens to good teams this early in the season. They went on a 40-0 run against their next opponent. That's a record.

Also, lost at then #3 Maryland by 1(59-58) and MSU by 1(70-69).

This dude is ignorant....Illinois is very, very good. And every bit of a FF contender.

No one is saying they aren't...

But Tom Izzo and Michigan State receives the benefit of the doubt
Yeah actually someone is---You. You placed 10 or so teams ABOVE Illinois. Which, no isn't saying they are not good-----But its dismissing how good they are. If there are 10+ teams BETTER than Illinois, then holy shit is this gonna be a great CBB season....

We may not win a championship, but we're damn sure not finishing outside of the top 6 of the Big 12. Dude is on crack.

Who said they aren't...

But fact still remains it will be difficult for them to receive a 1 or 2 seed out of the B1G

A lot of "supposed" FF teams get screwed by the bracket
Who said they would get a 1 or 2 seed? See, you change the parameters to fit your, "individual" arguments...I thnk you are a troll, TBH.

You said Illinis is NOT a FF team----and placed 7, 8 or more teams ABOVE them; not including Baylor or Gonzaga.

How? Why? And WTF does Wisconisn or MSU have to do with how good Illinois is?

Seeding determines who the Final 4 team is a lot of times...

Seeding is very important

No chance of that(finishing 6th or worse in the B12). Baylor right now is head and shoulders above everyone in the B12.....No one else, not KU, TX or WVU are better than Illinois. MOF, RIGHT NOW, I'd take Illinois over all three.

Seeding is very important
2019 FF: 1, 2, 3 and 5
2018 FF: 11 and a 3
2017: 3 and 7
2016: 10 seed
2015: 7 seed
2014: 7 and 8

See a trend, here?

BTW---If you are alluding to the need of being a 1 or a 2 to get to a FF---and obviously that helps---What makes you think teams you placed above Illinois, has a better opportunity of being a 2-seed? Texas----why? Villanova---why? Iowa----Why? Wisconsin---why? I mean sans Wright at Nova, which of the other coaches get your "benefit of the doubt" tag?
