Best start in Michigan’s history

Michigan will have played 3, maybe 4 tournament level games not in their home court. No. I don’t consider that battle tested.
ACC and Big 10 both have the same amount of Top 25 teams----or very close. Their middle teams are pretty even.... Challenge was 7-7....

So I am not sure how you can come to the conclusion of playing in the Big 10 is going be a weakness for Michigan. But playing in the ACC would be a strength?

Weird....

Good ball movement. Good in transition. Big men seem a little slow.

Did I read that it included who Michigan played last year and who Tennessee plays next year?

I like more than a one year sample size .

Michigan wasn’t battle tested last year and did just fine.

Tennessee was trash last year so I’m nice enough to let you use Tennessee next season rather than last years because Tennessee shouldn’t suck next year.

Now that I’ve looked at your schedule closely, it’s even more pathetic than I thought. You will have played one top 10 team away from home at the end of the regular season (the last game). Probably only one more in the top 20 (UNC), maybe two (IU).
Now you are trolling...None of what you said is relevant. How many Top 10 teams is UVA gonna play away from home between now, and March? Or Duke? I will tell you-----

One.......MAYBE two. So you are telling me that one more Top 10 road game will make Duke/UVA more battle tested?

And BTW----Road games are a silly gauge. Last I checked, there are no road games in the NCAAT. So maybe we should talked about the ACC/Big 10 tourney's as a measuring stick?

I hate these arguments. Road games are just stupid.

I’ll permaban bet you that Mac McClung never makes a name for himself anywhere other than this message board.
He already has:
The legend of Mac McClung grows in Georgetown’s double-OT win over Providence:
Georgetown freshman Mac McClung pushes the ball up the floor during Saturday's double-overtime win over Providence. McClung scored 16 points, including a buzzer beater from about 30 feet out at the end of regulation to force the first overtime. (Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post)

@DezyVol or how about this. Michigan played in the national championship last season despite their SOS being terrible. I bet you Tennessee can’t make it that far this year.

I didn’t say road games. I said awaybfron home. Hence why the many neutral court games against good competition in the early season (which Michigan lacks) is relevant.

He’s been trolling from the start. UT is decent for the first time in years and you get a drive by troller coming in. He’ll be gone as quick as the other SEC fans that come here a couple times a year.

Big men seem a little slow? Teske is one of the best defensive bigs in basketball. I don’t think you actually watched the games. Were they on in the background while you played Magic: The Gathering?

Jesus dude. Not sure why you’re so set on permaban bets, but since you are, I offered you one. If you don’t want to take it, fine. Just up with bets involving last season....next season.....

You don’t think Tennessee will win as many tournament games as Michigan’s untested team from last season? RollLaugh

Idk..... jury is still out. Going 4-0 with 4 double digit wins against all 4 kenpom top 25 teams we’ve played is not good.

Not sure if I’ve heard of either of those schools mentioned in this post.

Can you quote that? I may Be Drink, but I only recall saying their schedule was crap and we wouldn’t know if they were legit (title contenders) until they played better comp.

You’re one of the only people here that could say with a straight face that Michigan isn’t at least a contender. I’d say anyone in the top 5-10 is a legit contender and having Michigan outside of your top 10 at this point seems silly. How drunk are you?

Wait, which bet are you willing to take?
That Michigan doesn’t go further than the Vols in the tournament. I like it because:

a) it involves this season
b) it involves wins and losses (not just games played)
C) my team is better than yours

Oh so you are Drink. jumpingsmile

Tennessee has never been made a Final Four and for the first time in the history of the program they may have a chance and you are on here raging on a team that was there last year.

Geezy the johnny-come-lately fans from the SEC really piss me off.

I didn’t say they weren’t legit contenders, I said I hadn’t decided yet because their schedule has been pathetic.

So their schedule isnt shitty? Is that your contention?

One game sample sizes are lame. Tennessee won’t make it as far as Michigan did last year. Glad we both recognize that.

You’re one of the very few people that watch college basketball (assuming you watch college basketball outside of UT) that haven’t concluded that Michigan is a legit top 5-10 team.

So you won’t take my bet? Sounds like you have the same concerns about your team that I do. Good to know.

That is not what you said. According to the Washington Post he already has made a name for himself in the Washington area. So he has made a name for himself outside this message board. I take your bet.

Ok.....WHo has UVA played away from home, who's worth a shit? Duke has played a solid neutral court schedule. Tennesse's pretty solid.

So I guess UT/Duke for the title?

Your argument is flawed. Its the type of argument you make when you have no other reason to question a team. Michigan is really, really good.

Big men seem a little slow? Teske is one of the best defensive bigs in basketball. I don’t think you actually watched the games. Were they on in the background while you played Magic: The Gathering?
I don't think he's watched either. Otherwise, he wouldn't have left out how good they are defensively. That sticks out. A lot.

I’m in the thread titled “Best Start in Michigan’s History,” not “why UVA sucks in the tournament.”

I’ve seen Michigan beat teams they are better than in the tournament because all it takes is one game. So I won’t bet on a single tournament game that can be flukey.

Where would you rank Michigan right now since you’ve seen them 3 times now? 3rd? 5th? 10th?
