ACC thread...

Both teams went 2-0 against the ACC.

Yeah, but Texas squeaked by Syracuse and NC State. Vandy handled Cal and VT, though UNC beat both by almost twice as much as Vandy did. So they played and beat bad ACC teams. Now, most ACC teams are bad but the point he makes is pretty accurate. The teams that the SEC is getting in without question aren't that much better than some ACC teams that may not get in. They just get more chances and inevitably take advantage of some of them. Trust me, I wish UNC was in the SEC. I would gladly embrace those chances.

UNC has 8 losses to the absolute best teams in the contry. UNC is probably better right now than Vandy or Texas. But, they also screwed themselves with bad coaching and dumb play to lose to Stanford and Pitt so deserve what they get. Play wise they should probably be in but you have to win some of those games, even if they may win some of them if they played them now. Too bad their coach can't figure out the lineup until the season is already over.

if a team is under .500 in their conference, they don’t deserve to be in the tournament. If you don’t like it then you should win more. It’s weird how different everyone is looking at things now that the SEC is good, it never was that way before.

Both Texas and Vanderbilt have better wins, that’s why they are getting in (Texas isn't quite in yet).
I don't think you can judge teams by how badly someone else beat teams that they beat.
UNC has 1 win against quad 1 teams, I'm not sure how many SMU or Wake have, but I doubt they have as many as Vandy and/or Texas.

And if Louisville was in the SEC, they would be under 500.
UL is 0-4 against the SEC, I'm not sure you can argue they would be above .500 with those results.
SOS matters. Oklahoma was undefeated until they hit conference play.

Spoken like a true loser. Do you realize that teams improve over the season? We would run your kittens out of a neutral gym today.

I mean, it's the truth. Yeah, Louisville will improve, but so will everyone else.
Truth is, y'all haven’t played a ranked team since what, December? The reams you’re shitting on have been playing highly ranked teams the last 3 months and on a neutral right now, I would easily take Vandy and/or Texas over Louisville. Both teams have more talent.

And Louisville is a totally different team than we were then.
So is everyone else.

Shit, I'm a fan, look at my avatar… .but UL would be sub 500 if they played in the SEC.
This is the same stuff we heard when the SEC stunk and the ACC was king.

Do you really think every team improved? That’s really not a smart statement, are you new to sports?

LOL, every team improves, unless they have injuries, they may not improve asuch as others, bit there's no way you play 30 games and not improve.

You’re wrong!
Not necessarily. As he mentioned, barring injuries, all teams improve. It is just a question of how much.

Some are minimal, and thus get lapped by those teams that make exponential improvements over the course of the year, which then masks the minimal improvements other teams have made, thus making it look like they haven't improved at all, or regressed.

So no team has ever regressed throughout a season? Ever?
Well, last year, Arkansas had a gay spat in the locker room that caused them to have a disconnect, butt they eventually rebounded and realized more penetration was better than just shooting blanks from the outside.

But yeah, sure, some teams regress, some teams peak early, but can you name a team that was worse in March than they were in January?

Only one I can think of is Evansville a few years ago, but that's because Walter McCarty got fired.
