They went 16-16 and Auburn went 14-16. That is about as close as it could be. I'm not wrong, you're just delusional. You have the dumb idea that Pearl is the best coach in America and he clearly isn't. 15 years has no bearing on your future team. It took Pearl 3 years to compete at a high level and it took Barnes 2 years.

Objectively you'd have to say at least Kelvin Sampson. He was hired in 2014, just like Pearl. Houston had missed the tournament 20 of the previous 21 years and hadn't won a game in the NCAAs since 1984. And Houston has had much more success than Auburn in the past decade.
houston doesnt have the issue of a SEC type football program though. Auburn never had phi slama jama or anything like that. Houston is also a huge market. Not a small college town
