If College Basketball limited the playoffs (NCAA Tournament) to 4 teams, Pearl would have exactly 0 tournament appearances in basketball. Otherwise, it's a lovely analogy.

UT has outperformed Auburn in the last two years and the Vols beat them in the NCAA. UT is a much bigger program than Auburn, so if you ask the Duke fans they would probably choose UT.

UT is the much more successful athletic program. Tennessee is the SEC All Sports title holder for the last three years. In CBB UT's arena is twice as big as Auburn"s.
Auburn was won a more recent football national title. Also played for another . We hold a head to head record in football over Tennessee all time. Been to a final 4. Basketball we have been just as good if not better over the last 10 years. Also have a winning record against Tennessee in basketball in that time period. The size of your arena is not due to your mens basketball team. Thanks Pat.

Barnes has taken UT to the NCAA more than Pearl has taken Auburn with a year less to do it in. Tennessee has more SEC and NCAA titles than Auburn. Tennessee has had more combined attendance in the last two years in CBB, WCBB, and CFB than ANYONE in the country peewee. Needless to say UT men's CBB has way more attendance than Auburn. Tennessee Men's Baseball is currently #1 and in Omaha for the 3 time in 4 years. Again, UT is the All Sports SEC title holder for the last three years.
Again, UT has out performed Auburn in CBB since Pearl and Barnes were there. UT has outperformed Auburn in CFB in overall titles SEC and NCAA and in the last few years and generates way more money than Auburn. In college baseball it is a landslide UT win as well as WCBB.
