You crafty motherfvxker @Necessary Roughness . Just realized you’re the only person in contention who took Arkansas. You faded your own school when everyone else was putting big points on them. Wtf? Did you just make a move for the top of the podium?
It's win/win for me in this game lol. I honestly did think we would lose this game. Too many injuries IMO. But, you never know.
5/6 of the same picks. Good chance the Pick'Em title hinges on one game... Michigan State/Ole Miss.
There are 8 Sweet 16 games; I had to cut 2 of them. Duke had the highest spread of all the Sweet 16 games. Thought cutting that game made the most sense. I included the Houston/Duke Sweet 16 matchup last year.

Thinking about scenarios, I don't think it's as simple as DD says. I think I can still win this even if MSU beats Ole Miss. For instance if Auburn loses and Tennessee wins and MSU wins we'll be tied for first at 302. And we all know tiebreaker goes ot the guy who doesn't get to pick the games every week.
If Kentucky wins, Ole Miss wins and Auburn wins we'll once again tie with 306.
IF MSU/Michigan/Kentucky win it goes to DD with 300 pts.
At this point the rest of you bums are just battling it out for that final spot on the podium.

I'll take our trip to the Elite 8. It was worth the risk.
I don't think it can end on a tie, actually. I was only 1 point ahead. And a double-points week only deals with even numbers.
I've got you at 299 points. You correctly picked your 12, 10, and 8 point games. Huge start to your Sweet 16.
I'm going to need both Auburn and Michigan State to win. If Ole Miss wins tonight, then you'd have a 6 point lead over me (32-26). And I only make up 4 points on Auburn (10-6). Auburn is the late game... but that won't matter if Ole Miss wins. You would have clinched it already.
I think Michigan State is the better team (defense is elite), but I don't think they're significantly better than Ole Miss. I anticipate a close game.
Look at DD, having the patience to explain simple math to an idiot like me rather than use that opportunity to point out how I'm too stupid to add which is totally the route I would've taken had the roles been reversed. My people would say you're a real mensch.

Congrats to @lurkeraspect84 and @Blueart32 on winning Week 21 with a perfect score of 42 points! I picked all the favorites and held onto a very close lead for the title (thanks, Michigan State!). Great season everybody! Let's do it again next year!
... I'm thinking maybe I should switch the final Double Points week to the Round of 64 games. Those are much closer to 50-50 games. And maybe we could still have bonus points in Week 21, but say 4 points for each team you correctly pick to the Final Four (at the start of the Sweet 16). All the favorites won and it seemed a little too anticlimactic. Thoughts?

Also, I was in 14th place after Week 10. You can make up ground in this league (@GE Nole was in 17th place and had a shot at the title this weekend). I know attrition is real. But, that's kind of why I like dropping the lowest weekly point total. I want to encourage people to stay in the contest. Any thoughts on whether we should forego dropping the lowest scores in the future?
You'd think after they made 12 3-pointers in the 1st half, you'd switch it up. All I can figure is, BYU thought Bama would cool down... eventually. But, that never happened. Technically there is a point there. Bama shoots 60% on 2s and 35% on 3s. So, you're looking at 1.2 ppp on 2s and 1.05 ppp on 3s. But, they're clearly not shooting 35% on threes that are open and in rhythm.
Also, hats off to Purdue and Braden Smith last night. Thought you guys were cooked when Houston went up by 10. Smith played masterfully against their ball pressure; 12 assists in the 2nd half?! Clearly the best point guard in the country.. Uzan pushed off late in the game and got away with it. Unfortunate.. And that last second play by UH was something else. Thought we were heading for OT.
If only Arkansas hadn't lost! I could have won it all.
GGs. If we're voting on dropping the lowest score thing, I vote to cut it. It can make a difference in placement between people that are close in score and whoever is the most consistent shouldn't get penalized. But I understand why it's a rule and if it stays that's okay.

Congrats @dukedevilz . If I’m gonna lose I like to lose to the best. I’m proud of the way I played the last week. Came up with what I thought was my best path to victory and in the end I was right. Ole Miss was a possession or two away from winning that game and giving me the title.
I’ll settle for my 3rd podium.
