2023-24 Pick'Em, Final Standings!!

We both have St Mary's as our 6 pointer too lol. You going to be a man and stick with your pick? I'm contemplating whether or not I want to swap my picks around.

Probability-wise, keeping them at 6 may not be the best thing to do. But, I'm going to stick it out and keep my confidence in the Gaels.

One big reason why is I'm just not sold on San Diego State. They weren't offensively elite last year - and without Mensah manning the paint, I'm not sure how great their defense will be this year.

Sorry, but it's going to keep happening as long as it's pinned, lol. I never look up there.

Damn, I thought Tyler Kolek was banged up and might not play against Illinois. Instead he drops 24 and costs me 3 points!
you fcked up by thinking about it. You gotta just look at the games, clear your mind and let the energy flow through you till you see the winners through your mind's eye

- @WeAreDePaul , reigning Pickem and NCAA tourney pool champ.

Tyler Kolek is the most exciting player in college basketball. Change my mind.
Tyrese Proctor is the most overrated player in college basketball. Change my mind.

Mocks have him going in the top 10. Any team that drafts him in the lottery will be looking for a new GM within 2 years.

I can buy that. He was hyped an awful lot this offseason.

Talent is there. He's not assertive enough on offense to make a serious push for All-American honors. Needs to take aggressive pills. He hasn't gotten off to a good start shooting the ball, either.

Terrence Shannon sent a beautiful wrap-around pass to Ty Rodgers, who had an uncontested point-blank layup in front of him.

You can't see the ball here very well, but it's in the hands of Rodgers, and he's immediately looking to pass the ball out.

He finds Marcus Domansk on the wing. But, look at all fans that are saying, "WTF! Did you just pass up a layup!" Even two of his teammates are in dismay lol.

leave it pinned. If we start basing all our decisions on our dumbest member (@coryfly ) what kind of precedent does that set? Next thing you know we'll have to get rid of the numbering system because Cory can't count to 6 so well. That was an advanced graduate degree class at UNC.

I didn't go to UNC.

Hmm....so if week one, you and WeAreDepaul had gone:

6 Auburn
5 Baylor
4 Duke
3 Arizona
2 Wisconsin
1 Tennessee

You'd have scored 4 more points than you scored!

Ouch. Sad.

But hey, still better than this week, at least for me.

Week 18 Scores
IUfanBorden- 15
Kevin Bryan- 10
coryfly- 10
WeAreDePaul- 8
Demarcus Kidd-Miller- 7

duckboy33- 2
boilerzz- 2
jhmossy- 1
ExitFlagger- 1

No sir. Look no further than Justin Edwards (at least for now).

Okay, time for an early season bonus round. I'm not going to have any Maui games for the Pick'Em contest next week (first game is Monday at 2:30), but thought for bonus points we could pick the Maui Champ. Pretty crazy to have 5 of the top 11 teams (and 3 of the top 4) in a preseason tournament

If you correctly pick the Maui champ before the quarterfinals begin: 6 points
If you correctly pick the Maui champ before the semifinals begin: 3 finals
If you correctly pick the Maui champ before the championship begins: 1 point

Only one pick, of course.

Maui Invitational
#7 Tennessee vs Syracuse
#2 Purdue vs #11 Gonzaga

#1 Kansas vs Chaminade
UCLA vs #4 Marquette

You can pick your Maui champ now, or wait until the Week 3 games have been revealed, and include your Maui Champ with your 6 Pick'Em games.

FWIW, UCLA is #29 in votes for the AP Poll.
