So, game shouldn't have been close. Title contenders don't let Arky almost upset them.
A win by 1 counts the same as a win 34. If you think you should feel better about losing two games than we should about winning a game, we will have to agree to disagree.
Duke loses UK wins, Some Duke fans thinks UK's win was shitty. rinse and repeat.
Duke and UK are interchangable.
Arkansas shot 10-20 from 3 is a big part of it. Some of the looks were open, and that's been an Achilles heel of UK's, but there were a number of well-contested shots that went in. I am as impressed that they came back after a large second half debt as much as I am alarmed at the debt in the first place, but they still need to tighten up a bit of stuff.
Everyone has a WTF game. The UK players simply thought they had a walkover game.
Are we supposed to ignore the drubbings UK has put on some really good teams?
The other teams on your list have had their fair share of WTF games too.
Heck, Duke was down by 23 at UL. Yes, they came back and won, but they were down by 23.
Plus, I know ESPN doesn't care, but UK has a key starter out with a sprained knee too.

To me, Duke is susceptible to an early exit for two reasons .They can't shoot and we have seen what happens if one of your 4 studs goes down. You have no bench, nobody to come in for Zion, RJ, Reddish or Jones.
UK has reserves for each spot.
Cam was out for Duke that game too and Cuse is a much better team than Arkansas coached by a HOF'er in Boeheim. They went to a Final 4 in 2016 and made the Sweet 16 last year.
How are these situations comparable?
They're close, I give the slight edge to Tennessee but you could argue either way.

LOL of course if one of our 4 main players is out we're screwed and our ceiling is not that of a title contender but you can say that for any team.
Take PJ or Herro off of UK and they're not winning more than a few games in the NCAAT.
Duke has the 2 best players in the NCAA; that's more important than having a bunch of mediocre role players to give you depth off the bench.

With a healthy Justin Robinson, I think its a true tossup if these 2 teams face each other in the Big Dance.
The Hokies are a very dangerous team.
We’ll see if VT finally gets a tourney win. They haven’t won a game since 2007. I think they can win a few but I think UT would be a tough matchup for them. UT has length at every position and VT has no one to match up with both Williams and Schofield.
I prefer the win but Jimbo and I were talking about how teams will do in the tournament. This win is more alarming for UK's prospects going forward than Duke's loss was assuming Zion's back.
We know Duke can't really guard the post with Zion out. It was just shocking to see UK be so careless with the ball last night.
When I have discussions with people about how their teams will do in the NCAAT, I focus more on how a team plays to forecast how a team will perform going forward than the result. UK pulled off a close win but Hagans was loose with the ball, Keldon was inconsistent and Herro played awful defense in the 1st half. I thought Hagans was blossoming into an elite guard, Herro had been playing good defense and Keldon was becoming a true physical mismatch.
Last night didn't tell me much about Duke except that Tre seems to be allergic to driving to the rim now and Barrett's playmaking has improved. We already know that Jack White has forgotten how to shoot, DeLaurier can't hold on to the ball and that Cam can't dribble.
I hear you but like Jimbo said, UK was down 1 starter but Arkansas is garbage and they got the win. I think you may agree Duke should of handled Va Tech but going forward the # 1 seed is yours to lose.

But here's the thing, UK has been without Reid Travis and ended up beating a damn good Auburn team by 27 and was able to turn it on last night and win a game against a team that was desperate and playing out of their minds.
I get it, you want to discredit everything UK does, maybe you just hate UK or maybe you're just screwing with me, but what you're saying is....wow.
You're right, I was being harsh. Congrats on the come back win at home vs Arkansas. You guys showed a lot of grit to come back.
They're similar quality teams. I think Tennessee matches up well vs Tech but all the advanced stats show that these teams are in the same neighborhood.
They already crushed a fully healthy Michigan state team this year in their preseason scrimmage for what it is worth.
They're crushing WCC teams by an average of 25 points.
I get arguing that the Zags don't deserve a #1 seed based on their resume but do you seriously doubt their ability to compete with UK, UNC, Duke and UVA?
At every opportunity they've proved they belong in the conversation.

They’re 1-2 against any opponent worth mentioning. They shot like 70% in the 1st half and first 5 mins of 2nd half against Duke and that’s not discrediting Duke’s defense, they literally made everything. At normal percentages, Duke caught up and they only won by 2. Can’t take the W away from them but that’s kinda flukey. They can’t control the low quality of their conference so I’m not going to discredit their dismantling of the WCC but I’m not not impressed. I don’t think they’re the best team in the country. Maybe a debatable top-10.
The hard part about Gonzaga is that their conference sucks so they’re a wildcard. Almost every year the past decade they have been ranked high in the polls. They couldn’t even survive the first weekend until like 5 years ago. Yeah, they played in the title game in ‘17 but they were blessed with a frickin’ cakewalk. 16 seed, northwestern, Xavier, West Virginia, then get a 8 seed (South Carolina) in F4.
Don’t you realize every team has 5-6 flukey wins? Basketball is a funny sport like that. Duke’s comeback from Louisville. Duke shooting red hot against an injured uva. UNC getting no Zion. Uva besting UNC when Cam goes out.
