Put together a starting 5 that would work from your conference and let's talk about how it matches up against this one:

Not sure which starting lineup I'd roll with. I'd go either:

PG Johnny Davis - Wisconsin
SG Jaden Ivey - Purdue
SF Keegan Murray - Iowa
PF EJ Liddell - Ohio State
C Kofi Cockburn - Illinois

PG Trent Frazier - Illinois
SG Johnny Davis - Wisconsin
SF Jaden Ivey - Purdue
PF EJ Liddell - Ohio State
C Kofi Cockburn - Illinois

That’s a. Really good 5. Be tough to beat.

PG James Akinjo, Baylor
SG Ochai Agbaji, KU
SF matthew Mayer, Baylor
PF Timmy Allen, Texas or Bryson Williams TT
C David McCormack, KU

if we do a 4 guard set….

Akinjo
Brockington, ISU
Ochai
Mayer
McCormack

Probably missing some people because I've been drinking and watching UK but here's a quick SEC one.

PG Scottie Pippen Jr - Vandy
SG JD Notae - Arkansas
SF Jaden Shackelford - Bama
PF Jabari Smith - Auburn
C Oscar Tshiebwe - Kentucky

PG Santiago Vescovi - Tennessee
SG Iverson Molinar - Mississippi State
SF Kellen Grady - Kentucky
PF Tari Eason - LSU
C Walker Kessler - Auburn

Oscar/Kessler might be the two best centers in the country. Tough to leave one off.

I don't see Vescovi as a starter PG leading team SEC. He is not even a starter PG at Tennessee. He is a #2 guard and a good one, but probably not the best in the SEC.

TJD and Kofi can't play together. TJD can't shoot outside of 5 feet.

Personally I think this would be dangerous as Frazier has shown to be able to handle point guard duties while also able to make dagger 3s when clutch. Would be a very explosive team.

ACC

PG Alondes Williams - Wake Forest
SG Reece Beekman - UVA
SF AJ Griffin - Duke
PF Paolo Banchero - Duke
C Mark Williams - Duke

You can sub out Reece Beekman for Buddy Boeheim (Syracuse) and Mark Williams for Armando Bacot (UNC) but the other 3 are locks.

This team explains why the ACC is liquid shit this year pretty well

Obviously a down year for the conference. Other conferences probably have better starting fives.

But, I kind of like what nish was doing there. Reece Beekman and Mark Williams are arguably the two best defenders in the conference. AJ Griffin is 10th in the country in 3-point percentage (49.1%). Alondes Williams might be the best point guard in the country (19.4 ppg, 6.7 reb, 5.1 ast). And Paolo Banchero is an All-American.

These five ACC players would all have different roles, but could easily complement each other, unlike many of the five best players from a conference, which often thrive best when having the ball in their hands. Not enough shots to go around for all the superstars.

Could easily inject more offense into the lineup with the likes of Kam McGusty, Michael Devoe, or Armando Bacot. But, the five he listed could work well together.

i’m not a fan of scottie pippen jr. Dude is a “me” guy all the way. Definitely not who i want as my starting point guard. I’d take Chandler over him.

Tend to agree. Chandler fits much more
