Which 8/9 seeds would you want to avoid?

Of those teams I would say Auburn and Syracuse. Syracuse because the zone is tricky to play against if you can't shoot and Auburn because if they get hot they can play with anyone. That list is all kinds of meh though. None are particularly scary.

Man, seeing Syracuse and Auburn ahead of NC State pisses me off. We ran both of them off the court. A bunch of double digit loss teams too which make little to no sense at all.

Your non-con schedule was one of the worst I've ever seen. Just be thankful they aren't using RPI this year, or the Wolfpack wouldn't even make the Dance.

We’ve been around the teens and thirties with the new NET. But the seeding I am seeing is as if they ARE still using the rpi. 32 should get you in the bottom of the top half of seeds right? Which would be more like a 6 or a 7 if they are going by the NET and not the RPI.

Your RPI is like 90. If they were still using that NCSU wouldn't even be on the bubble.

You are underestimating how unprecedented your non-con schedule was. It was putrid.

I was more referring to Syracuse getting run off the floor but we beat you guys when you were ranked like 12 or 15 which should mean something.

Shit, I think we were like 6 or 7 actually. Been a long year for us, just hoping that we can get to 100% before it’s too late. Having 3 guys who were supposed to be heavy contributors and average 10 a game become basically nonexistent has killed us.

St Johns. Ive watched them a few games this season, they are dangerous on a given night.

Most people would not want to deal with that Syracuse zone. Same could usually be said about Baylor but they’ve been plying a lot of man. Baylor also has been down a few guys.

But wait. We overrated the 2010 Wall team because they couldn't shoot?

This year's Duke team is even worse from the outside, but you would favor them by 8 over this UK team, that you say is > 2010 (see quoted post below).

BTW, that 2010 team had more than just Wall and Boogie. It had Patrick Patterson, Bledsoe, Darius Miller, DeAndre Liggins, Daniel Orton and Josh Harrellson. That roster was stacked and had more star power than this 2019 team by a mile.

Just like this Duke team, there were games where UK shot lights out, but then there were games where they went 2-25 (elite 8 against WVa). That team isn't being overrated, they just severely underachieved.
Barrett and Zion are a lot better than Wall and Cousins were in college and Reddish is probably better than those other wings UK 2010 had.

Orton and Bolden are probably a wash.

K doesn't play a bench anyway so I would definitely take this Duke 2019 team over 2010 UK and its not even close imo.

I would take UK 2010 over Duke 2019. You can't compare position by position because the team makeups are different, but cousins v Zion would be must see TV and I would take wall over Barrett, then there is Patterson and Bledsoe.

2010 UK was far deeper than this Duke team as well.

But either way you look at it, both teams struggle(d) to shoot 3's. I mean, this Duke team is ridiculously bad from three point range.

I just don't think you can say UK 2010 was overrated and was flawed because they couldn't shoot, then turn around and say this Duke team is awesome. At the very least, both teams are damn close talent wise, too close to say one was flawed and the other is great.
