What is your honest option of Houston and Memphis?
I actually never been to Houston so no thoughts there. Memphis downtown is just sketchy. Atlanta Downtown is just as bad though. You do agree Nashville has exploded though right?
Nashville is like Nola for white people.
Louisville and Memphis State used to have a deep hated rivalry. Pretty sure a knife was thrown out on the court during a game in the early to mid 80's. Louisville and Cincy had a pretty solid rivalry too.

When you have been bit by one snake you have a tendency to be weary of all snakes, even the good ones.

That is me. I have followed Kentucky basketball for 65 years and the number one team to beat is Tennessee. I don't hate Tennessee if they are not playing Kentucky and often root for them.
Some other teams run in and out depending on how good they are at the time. LSU had a few good years and their fans were a little irritating. Florida got hot for a while and their fans said they had replaced UK on top of the heap. Arkansas came in and made a little noise and were kind of hard to tolerate. Now Auburn fans think they are King based on 20 games in one season. Many of these SEC schools I root for when they are playing out of conference. Most of the SEC schools fans root against Kentucky regardless. They are bad losers.
But Tennessee is still Tennessee. I love Kentucky beating them and I hate Kentucky losing to them.
Outside of the SEC I love to compete with Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Kansas, Indiana, Ohio State, even Louisville. But on Louisville I am not the typical UK fan who hates on Louisville. The University of Louisville educated me in economics at night school and I simply can't dislike them. I love Kentucky beating the shit out of them but I like Louisville. Of course when I went to UL it was not a State school.
I never lived in Memphis, but I used to live in Houston, TX and loved it. Houston is wonderful in all aspects until rush hour. The culture of Houston is easy for a country boy from Kentucky to feel at home. Some of the best neighbors that I have had in my moving around the U.S. were in Houston.
It is the only place that I lived where I could get a direct flight to all the places that I had to visit. I hate connecting flights!
20 games in one season? Auburn is going for it’s 4th 25 win season in the last 5 years. We have beat Kentucky 6 times in that period and we aren’t going anywhere
The present is all that matters. As long as auburn has pearl we will be just as good as Kentucky
