I've been a big bama hoops guy for a long time. Ever since our elite 8 run in 2004, our basketball program has been extremely frustrating. The talent has been there (Ronald Steele, Alonzo Gee, Jamychal Green, Trevor Lacey, Devonta Pollard, etc.)but the teams have never lived up to the hype. Even this year where we made the tournament and won a game, we still had 15 losses with a lottery pick on the roster as well as some talented Freshmen and veteran players. With that being said, I am still extremely happy with Avery Johnson and looking forward to see what he can do in the years to come.
I just would like to hear the thoughts you guys have on Avery and the Alabama basketball program.

There's some really good experienced coaches in the SEC. I think Avery is doing really good at recruiting, maybe needs some more experience coaching in the college ranks. I thought you guys underachieved this past year.

No doubt about it. Losing 5 straight at the end of the regular season was absolutely awful. Even though we lose Sexton, we add Tevin Mack who was Texas's best player before he left. No more excuses from the coaching staff this year, because we have the talent.
