I dont care about the overall 1 assuming Duke picks the east region. I just want Auburn as the number 1 seed in the south region

He is a good coach, but no team plays hair on fire all the time. I'm just hoping UT does not come out lackadaisical against Ole Miss tonight after the emotional bama in. This game has trap all over it.
I think Ole Miss is too good to call them a trap game. They are just flat out a good team, we have to play our A plus game to beat them

The overall #1 gets to pick where they want to go. First/Second round games are in Raleigh, don't think they're going to past that up.
Not worried about first weekend. I want atlanta for sweet 16 and elite 8. Duke can go to newark. We will go to lexington opening weekend
Clemson is the last legit opponent Duke has played in a month and ironically Duke is the only good opponent Clemson has played in 2 months
I keep seeing this posted. I disagree. Illinois is not a scrub. They are 19th in Kenpom and 17th in the NET. They just beat Michigan by 20 at their place.
This is largely why I think Auburn should and will get the #1 overall seed, but for the tournament and success, that really doesn't mean anything tbh.

If I was an Auburn fan, I would be very concerned about getting out of the first weekend, somewhere they haven't been since 2019...
Auburn was loaded in 2022 and couldn't get outta the first weekend, and they were a four seed last year and blew a double digit lead in the second half and lost first round game.
I wouldn't have the audacity to just disregard the first weekend if I were you.
There is no question that both Auburn and Duke are both great teams and very deserving.
Agreed. I think Auburn, Duke, Houston, Florida, Tennessee and Bama are on a tier above the rest of college basketball this year. Huge drop off after those 6 IMO.
True, but we can all be beaten by someone on a lower tier on a given night. There are a lot of good teams out there.

Being from the Big East conference a few years ago, they allowed some physical contact that wasn’t allowed in the tournament. Are any of you SEC fans kinda thinking about that? They have let a lot of physicality go in the SEC this year that might not be allowed in the tournament.

I only worry about Brooms legs. IMO they need to run a few more sets for Caldwell. He's such an underrated player that I think Auburn needs to utilize a bit more.
Mich St is like 2 spots higher than us in Def efficiency. We aren't fouling w/ a somewhat safe lead late.

I think if Florida or Auburn win the SEC Tournament, they get the #1 overall seed. If any other team wins, Duke gets the #1 overall seed.

I'd add Texas Tech. When they have everyone available, they can beat anyone. They are the only team that beat Houston this year in the Big 12 and had they been full strength they would have swept them.
