The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

Dude, KSR was talking about you guys making the tournament Monday morning, you upset a horrid shooting Tennessee team that is spiraling, and now you want to be mentioned as elite or something? lol

And you are butthurt about the ACC being down, yet you’ve been in a football conference that has only taken basketball seriously the last couple of years. Last year only 3 out 8 SEC teams made it to the 2nd game in the tournament. I don’t give a **** if UNC is good or not.
Of course you listen. What an obsessed BLOCKHEAD.

That was part of Popes master defensive scheme! He knew yall wasn’t a great shooting team so he packed it in and made yall chuck it from deep. Dudes ahead of his time I tell ya!!!
We are a greater 3 shooting team than we presented last night. Regardless, last night we wouldn't have hit them if we had been allowed to shoot at halftime.

The ACC sucks. That's the only thing getting you idiot U6ers being chesty, BLOCKHEAD.

Play anyone of any substance, U6 loses.

Mental Gymnastics is BLOCKHEAD's event in the Special Olympics.
I actually like rock. He’s a solid troll and provides good insight on games that don’t involve Kentucky.

I don’t like that I have to get on here after every big win and read that Kentucky won and xxx team lost because “you guys made shots and they didn’t”

Well no shit. That’s the game. It’s been killed since the game was over that we let UT shoot threes on purpose. Because, wait for it, outside of their starting two guards, they can’t hit the broad side of the barn. Pope game planned perfectly, resulting in us winning the game. Nobody wants to recognize this though. Instead, Pope is a poor defensive coach and UT just happen to have an off day. Right.

I guess Duke did too. And Miss State. And Gonzaga. And Florida. And A&M. Thank Jesus the basketball gods only like Kentucky.

Oh so now UT (top 10 team) is spiraling??? You hear that @della? Yall are spiraling!😂😂😂 No they’re not spiraling, they play in the SEC and the SEC is loaded this year. Teams are gonna beat up on each other. Don’t let your hate make you look silly. I’ll just be pretty blunt, anybody (idc who you are) saying that other SEC teams have only taken basketball serious the last few years looks like a complete f**king idiot but go ahead and do you!!!😂

I’m guessing they shoot better at Rupp. They couldn’t hit anything last night.

Yeah, I don't share Rocky's opinion on that. Rocky is a good soldier, but probably not UL's first choice in their diplomatic corp.

You got blown out by a .500 team in Ohio State. You didn’t mention that did you? What did I say that wasn’t true? Tennessee couldn’t hit wide open shots, does that bother you that it’s the truth? Kentucky isn’t a pushover, but definitely not an elite team. Auburn may be the only true elite team.
Same Ohio State team that beat Purdue at Purdue.

UK left those shooters open by design last night. That’s what good coaches do.

Tennessee is the best 3 point defense in the country, UK hit 50% on 24 attempts and Oweh got to the rim at will.

Kentucky is an elite team, only Louisville fans think differently. Any team that can shred the #1 defensive team on their own home court like that, is elite and I'll remind you, UK was down 2 starters and both pount guards. Our center was bringing the ball up the court at times.

3 unathletic honkeys got big minutes last night and UK was up 9 points for a lot of the game. That’s elite.

I have no idea what this response has to do with anything I posted...at all. So unless you are responding to another post but accidentally selected mine, I have no idea what this has to do with you predicting UK to finish in 13th place.

Tennessee is a spiraling team? What?

If there’s one thing about UL fans I love it’s the fact that they will say anything no matter how ignorant it makes them look as long as it makes UK look bad in their mind😂😂😂

I was referring to them losing 3 out of the last 4 and 4 of their last 7. That May not be spiraling, but they aren’t going in the positive direction.
You being in this thread about the SEC has been nothing but ignorant chirps from the peanut gallery, BLOCKHEAD. Go to the ACC thread and try to tell the dookies you're comin' for em'. I bet they'll be scared.

we are spiraling. No flame to Kentucky but to lose to Pope in year 1 at home is a bad loss for us, I don't expect us to beat Florida either so MIssouri and Oklahoma next week could get interesting. We could be 4-7 in the league by the end of next saturday

Yeah, but look at the teams they lost to.

The SEC is canabolizing each other. There are no easy games. Heck, I bet Auburn struggles at LSU tonight, they almost lost at winless South Carolina.

It’s like wrestlmania this year.

Yeah, I get it, they hate seeing UK be good at anything, which isn’t surprisising, but I can't agree with the thought that UK isn’t beating these teams, that they're just losing and UK happens to be the opponent.

Just lean on the bad losses, that’s fair, we deserve those criticisms, but nobody will agree with UL fans on a lot of things here. UK is elite and last night's win was one of 4 top 10 wins and 1 of 6 wins that 99% of D1 teams would love to have. That’s not luck.

Ky did things that neutralized UT last night and that’s why we won. It was great coaching, that’s just a fact.

Why does it matter that pope is in year 1?

Agreed!!!

Because he is new to this, he is training on the job. Barnes is a vet he shouldn't be losing games to a newer coach
What, training on the job???

You don't get the UK job if you're just training. I think Pope has more than proven himself at this point. He is focused on offensive execution and scoring, Barnes focuses on defense, last night, Offense won out.

Pope has wins over Duke, @ Gonzaga, @MSU, aTm, Florida and now @ UT. It’s tine to accept that he is a legut high end coach.

You guys have an easy game Saturday, the SEC is tough no doubt. I know that they say Kentucky fans are the most knowledgeable basketball fans, but you fail to realize that every year there are teams that look great early in the season and then falter. Some teams falter early and then turn into real teams by February and March. I know that Tennessee is still a good team, but in three weeks they have went from the #1 overall seed to a 3 or 4 seed. I might have a little bias when it comes to giving Kentucky props, but you guys are really over the top when something good or bad happens. You guys keep talking about Gonzaga, they have work to do still to make the tournament.

Kentucky is not the best team in the country. Kentucky is a top ten team based on what has happened so far this season. Every team has bad games and head scratchers. I really don’t think there are more than a handful of teams out there that could take our schedule and have a better record with it.

If Louisville played in the SEC, they would have a lot more losses to this point.
Tennessee played at Florida, at Auburn, at Vandy and lost to UK at home. They also smoked Louisville at Louisville.
Look around the country, the only team that has proven they can go through a schedule like that unscathed, is Auburn.

Auburn has 3. It's a pretty meaningless metric anyway since the top 25 is always changing. UNC was #12 when Auburn beat them.
I agree, Gonzaga is no longer top 10 either.

Michigan state still gets credit for playing two top 25 teams, one of those games, is North Carolina.

Well JC liked your post.

As I mentioned this morning, Tennessee hit 10-19 on threes against us. Last night they were 9-45? Tennessee would’ve gotten smoked by us if they shot like that. Tennessee can still get a second breath and turn things around, but right now they can’t score.

Yeah, UK played a different strategy, because their best on-ball defender was out and Carr was out.

UK left bad shooters open, Louisville played them straight up.

Doesn't mean that strategy will work next time, but it worked last night.

Tennessee is a top 10 team, there cannot be a single argument that says otherwise, if not, what teams are you putting ahead of them?

Once you get past the top 15 teams, you won't find a team that has a better resume than UT. You can't act like there are a host of great teams out there that are killing it, while UT sits there losing. That’s just not the case.

Tennessee lost by one shot at Auburn, who had Broome in the lineup. Who else can say that?

Indifferent. He gave a lot to our program but at the end, it really just soured things. The losing was obviously the worst, but he really built a barrier between himself and Kentucky fans with his words.

“Draft night is the most important night in history”
“We are built for March”
“Basketball Bennie’s”

Just really rubbed BBNs nose in things. I personally wouldn’t clap, and would probably even boo. But I have a hard time with grudges, and it’s hard for me to get over Calipari completely demolishing what Kentucky basketball means to our fans.
I wouldn't clap or boo. I'd be indifferent. It would be hilarious if he just entered to an arena of total silence. 😂

Resume wise they are a top 10ish team, but they are not nearly playing like a top ten team now. They haven’t had any offense for a while.

The only thing you're smoking is the devil's lettuce, BLOCKHEAD. Tennessee housed U6 and would do it again.

That was mutual though, wasn't it? UK doesn't guard as close as Auburn.
Could you imagine how much UK would have won by without a zillion (mostly unforced) turnovers and actually managing to snag a few defensive rebounds instead of giving UT 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th chances to score? 😁
