The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

Well I would put it to you this way...if the roles were reversed and UT came into Lexington down two starters and with no PG, I would be beyond pissed at Pope if UK lost that game. Would be inexcusable in my mind. But that is just my thinking.
But, you discount the fact that UT has players injured or left the team too. However, IMO UT has a better team than UK this year.

Good point, how many players did yall start with?
I don't know, but Estrella is out for the year and Carr chose to take his talents to Baylor. We also had Gainey with the flu at Auburn and Phillips with a sore shoulder. But, it doesn't matter, you play who you have and let the chips fall where they will.

Cheer's to an injury-free game!

I would push back on discounting that UT has hurt/injured players. Every team, especially those in the SEC, has players that are hurt/injured.

But as you know, all injuries are not equal.

UK has two starters not playing. How many starters for UT will not be playing?

More importantly, UKs starting PG and his back up are not playing. As you know, the PG position is the most important position in college basketball. It is a death sentence to not have a competent starting PG. UK is down two PGs. Imagine Ziegler being out, that would effect UT immensely and would be tough to overcome.

I understand your comparison, but I don't think it is applicable at all, in this match up.

Zeigler was out a couple of years ago in the tourney. He would have come in quite handy against Fl Atlantic, but I don't recall UK fans giving us a pass on his injury.

It's sounds like you're making excuses to offset the sting of a possible loss. Either team could win if the ball is just dropping for them.

Just for that I am changing my prediction. CATS BY 90.

Who is looking for a pass? I am being more then realistic in my assessment of the matchup. UK is playing on the road, in a hostile environment, against a top 10 team, down two starters, and without their two PGs.

I am fully expecting a loss, thus there will be no sting. If I was expecting UK to win, and they got blitzed or just lost in general, then yes, the loss would suck. But not tonight.

In this case, UT losing would be unacceptable, considering the circumstances. And you know that, but you just will not admit it. Just like I fully admit that UK had no business losing to UL earlier this year (with all of ULs injuries), and it would have been unacceptable for Pope to lose that game. Exact same logic.

Wait, we get to count players that transferred? Half of our guys went to Arkansas, does that count?

Why would UK fans give UT a pass when UT was playing FAU?
In this sport, you don't get a pass, or extra credit for suffering, yiu just state that you're at a disadvantage and move on, nobody is giving anyone a pass, especially UT and UL fans when it comes to UK.

Would love to see if there's some defense hiding up there somewhere.
I would change to a different zone every time down the court, but each zone would need to have someone in Lanier's face at all times.

He'd be nuts to try man to man, especially when Perry is in.

I suspect Ziegler and Lanier will do just about whatever they want offensively.

I would at least make them deal with a zone. They will shred us in a man to man and we will probably rack up a ton of fouls.
Yep, they'll likely have to go zone out of necessity/attrition (even though they appear to be just as bad playing zone vs m2m). 😂

When you don’t have either of your PG’s it’s not making excuses it’s just being realistic. No way Kentucky should stay within 10 points of UT tonight. Losing sucks but it’s expected tonight so although you want UK fans to roll over and cry with broken hearts it ain’t happening.

You have already stated that UK should be a 12 pt favorite and I applaud you for it.

Well, he’s not coming back, Carr and Butler are expected to be back, we just don't have them available right now, so…… give my a pass Della, give me my damn pass. 🤣
Jeff, you're a nice guy, you should have never gotten mixed up with that UK crowd. I can put a good word in for you if you want to straighten up your life.

You've been breathing that nasty Tennessee air too long Della, get your vitals checked. Stat.
