Ken Pomeroy/Houston...

Houston just keeps blowing mediocre teams out, that's why the metrics love them.

KU really choked Saturday night.

Fvck KenPom. AU beat Houston straight up. Could give 2 shots less what his computer says.

Kelvin Sampson is a great coach. It’s hysterical seeing the conference honking this year from a particular conference that hasn’t won anything in years. Houston has been in a final four, elite eight, and two sweet 16s the last four years. Impressive. Once you’re in the tournament, that’s all that ultimately matters. Good/great teams show their worth.

Auburn beat Houston in Houston. I think we are doing alright

Meh I don't think Big12 is mediocre, but sure metrics aren't all adjusted how they should.
That being said I saw Houston vs Bama and Auburn and they're an extremely tough squad.

The ACC was down last year about like this season according to the “metrics” yet 3 of the elite eight teams were ACC. You really didn’t see the conference honking from the ACC.

Last year the SEC went 3-5 in first round, they had a 3,4,6,7 and 8 seed all lose in the first round. Winning in November and December isn’t like winning in March.

care to wager on who has a better ncaa tourney this year overall? who is louisville's best win this season? Sans Duke the acc may not see the second weekend

I wager on fan dual, not with message board conference honks. Louisville has been playing great lately, that’s all I worry about.

Agreed. It's been impressive how they transitioned from the AAC to the Big 12. A lot of people thought Houston benefitted from being in a weaker conference but they've kept it up in one of the best conferences in the country.

The league has a few teams at the top, but then it has a bunch of garbage teams, like Utah, Oklahoma State, BYU, TCU, Kansas State and Colorado. Houston just pummels those teams and that’s why the metrics love them.

LOL, you think there wasn’t any conference honking from ACC guys last year? You guys conference honk, you just don't admit it.

There are no NC State fans in here and why would duke fans brag about them?

Truth is, there were plenty of guys in here talking about how the ACC had 3 in the elite 8. You’re trying to say it didn’t happen, because you know nobody is going to do the research to look. That’s pretty slick, but not accurate.

As far as the weak ACC, I believe there’s 3 ACC teams that have won the championship since the last SEC team has. But you guys own November though. lol
😂

What do previous years have to do with this season? Virginia's title was also stolen from Auburn by poor officiating and the officials not knowing what double dribble is

I didn’t have to go far, you proved my point just this morning.
Follow along, I was talking about last year. The only reason I brought it up was because of the SEC sausage fest on here THIS year. Learn to comprehend what you are reading and follow along.

A certain fanbase is unable to distinguish "conference honking" from basic truth statements.

If someone says the SEC is historically great, while saying the ACC is historically awful, they automatically spin it into conference honking. They fail to see it is an objective truth statement.

Then like clockwork, they will turn around and start talking about NCAA performance and how well the ACC had done, and how the SEC doesn't do anything in the tournament (both of which are truth statements), but then typically saying "get back to us when the SEC does something in March for once" (which is conference honking). Like why does anybody need to get back to fans of a school in the ACC when the SEC does well in the tournament.

Good stuff.

If the SEC doesn't get at least one team in the final four this year, I don't wanna hear shit about how "great and tough" it is. The ACC did that shit for years.

You bragged last year too. I like ya Rock, but you know this is true.

You use everything you can find to put UK down and this us definitely something you use a lot.

Come on man, you're at least chuckling a little rigjt now, because you know I'm right about this.

Well, I am talking about this year, and the projected amount of SEC teams in the tourney is a lot. So, at least one should make it....is my point.
Right. You said unless the SEC doesn't have at least one team make the FF, you don't want to hear about how tough the league was.

The point is the SEC had a team in the FF last year. So does that mean fans of SEC schools are now able to talk about how tough the league was last year because they had one team in the FF?

Like, who cares?

Yay, Bama made the FF last year, let's go hang a "Bama made the FF - 2024 #We are in a tough league according to UL1986" banner in Rupp.

Yay, NCST made the FF last year, let's go hang a "NCST made the FF - 2024 #We are in a tough league according to UL1986" banner in the Yum Center.

If said conference is touted as the best the entire year, and gets 10-12 teams in, and all fail to make the final four.. I would consider that a failure. This isn't too difficult of a concept. Also, your examples are completely off-base and make you sound silly.
