The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

I feel sorry for Blake, if he has to wear that warm clothing indoors at his young age, he will not make it when he gets old like me.
iirc he does his podcast in his garage lol. I guess that could also warrant some sympathy though 😂.

If him or one of his family, or close friends smoke, then I understand being out in the garage. In the past I had a big screen, refrigerator, heat and air, pretty much everything but a bed and bathroom in our garage so if someone was a smoker, that's where we went, no smoke in the house. 😉
And I am not putting someone down for smoking, it's their choice, I use to smoke for the first half of my life, not an easy habit to break.

Auburn is a 92 percent chance to garner a 1 seed, Tennessee is a 61 percent chance. Would like to know why that is, does Auburn have an easier SEC schedule
its because auburn already has 5 quad 1 wins and can get a 6th one this saturday with purdue.

Seems like a big percent difference.

The fact that Auburn will host us and UF and not have to play at Knoxville or Gainesville might be part of it.

Auburn has played a difficult non conference schedule and survived with just one blemish. They have a 35 rating on Kenpom and that is really strong. The Vols are sitting on a 31 rating which is second best, but there is a sizable gap there. I would imagine that is the difference. However, having a better than 50/50 chance to make a #1 seed is pretty strong.

Trust me I know. I used to put on gloves and hide to smoke during my lunch break. Lets just say it doesn't look good to smoke in my line of work. Quit vaping cold turkey with the birth of my son a few months ago.

Wouldn't surprise me to see 1/2/3/4 finish with 13-5 or 12-6 records.

There is no reason why the top two teams in the SEC should not have one seeds, and there is no reason why a team in the ACC should even be sniffing around at a one seed. Just my opinion.

I know ya'll didn't think we were going drop that one... Tired of refs keeping teams in games though. Shoulda been over that first half.

Gonna be brutal. Probably the best/deepest conference I have seen in quite some time.

Speaking solely about UK, I envision a 9-9/10-8 conference record. Should be good enough to get them a 5-6 seed. Anything better then that would be gravy for Pope's first year.

How come I'm not seeing much negative Bruce Pearl posts anymore? He suddenly get gewd? Seriously though, how can anyone deny the guy is one of the best coaches in college bball? Auburn was NO ONE! The bottom of the barrel in a slightly above average league.

He has done a fantastic job with their basketball program. No denying that.

I was talking with an Auburn fan in a separate thread to see if fan expectation have changed in light of the success Pearl has had. Seems like the fanbase is content with being in contention in the SEC and making the tourney yearly.

However, I am of the mindset that expectations should change based upon the success of a program.

For me, Pearl has massively underachieved in the past four years (not in relation to Auburn's basketball history as a whole, but in relation to what he has achieved since taking over). Auburn missed the tournament in 2021, got blown out as a 2 seed in 2022 in the second round, got blown out in the second round in 2023, and lost to Yale as a four seed last year in the first round.

Very poor results, recently, if you ask me. Auburn should be a one seed this year. If they once again don't get out of the first weekend with this team, that would be a massive problem in my opinion.
