So looking like 7 SEC teams to the Sweet 16...

They had 14 bids and a bunch of high seeds. Of course they’re going to have several in the 2nd weekend if they’re good at all.

Bunch of high seeds and Cinderella.

Ha...Cinderella, my ass. Dude had more talent than either team he beat.

Not unlike what he did in 2014. Underachieved all year, then wowed everybody when he got them to play like they were expected to all along.

7 teams in the S16 is impressive no matter how you try to slice it.
Meh. I guess. Is.the B10 gettimg.4 impressive?

At th3 end of day, both SEC/B10 got half their teams to SW16.

SEC is really good. At the top. And when you have two #1..two #2 and a 3, I mean is it some type of modern day basketball miracle, those 5 advanced?

This..

Two #1's..Two #3:s and a 3 seed.

And thumping chest over those 5 making the SW16??,

But no mention of the fact that they set the record for first round losses by a conference.

Big 12: 10-3 .769

Big 10: 12-4 .750

SEC: 15-7 .682

SEC had higher seeds, yet advanced the same percentage of teams to the S16 as the B1G and a lower percentage than the Big 12.

Great year for the SEC. Very deep league. But not 14 deep, and the tourney performance so far is nothing incredible.

Notice that the Sweet 16 is made up of only teams from the top three leagues (and Duke). I think this is going to be the norm in the NIL era. The little guys are getting left behind. Another reason I don’t think it’s a miracle for the SEC (or any mega-conference) to have several teams in the 2nd weekend.

Those teams still had to prove it on the court to get to the Sweet 16. They actually overperformed the committee's seeding, who had six SEC teams in their top 16 seeded teams. The SEC is sending seven, including Arkansas (who had an 8-10 record in the SEC).

This SEC has had a historical year. You just need to accept that. The question is why? I imagine it is a mix of reasons: 1 They returned a core of great players. 2 The SEC is more practiced in NIL and transfer.3 They have invested in quality coaches. The second reason is more easily remedied by the other power conferences.

7 is more impressive than 4. Yes the seeds helped but those seeds weren’t just given tho those teams, they earned them

LOL at @ExitFlagger. His team got stroked by missouri and arkansas this year. middle teams in the SEC

Which SEC team in the SW16 is under the radar?

I believe that it is Ole Miss, Alabama & Kentucky.

I am sure they will but @ExitFlagger fully deserves this season

I "deserve" it because I haven't proclaimed the SEC the greatest conference of all time? Lol. What do you deserve for firing stupid insults every day for years?

Oh, right, exactly what you've gotten. One run in your entire history that ended with a brutal shot to the nuts.🤣

dude. You talked all kinds of shit last year after Auburn lost to yale. Yes you deserve it.

isn't the argument that we (SEC) were way overseeded and had too many in? If we're overseeded the #1-#3 still shouldn't have all made sweet 16. And 1 of the 2 teams with a weaker argument to get in (arky) is also in after running through a gauntlet at #10.

I don't see how people can say the SEC was overrated based on the tournament so far.
