Apparently when you don’t play anybody you have the opportunity to run your mouth about opponents who aren’t even on your schedule. Miltown says UCF is better than Notre Dame and cited each team’s contest vs Pitt. (He didn’t mention the common opponent Navy, probably because it didn’t fit his argument.)

Pretty sad that this bitch has a game against Cincinnati this week and yet is running his mouth about Notre Dame.

I don't blame Milton for his comments. The Knights were vastly underrated last season and slightly underrated this season (so far).

It's not the fault of the players or coaches for their 11th ranking.

But with that said, saying UCF is a better team than Notre Dame is utterly ridiculous. For starters, they play a schedule between .399 and .431. ND's schedule is in the mid .500 range. ND has wins against 9-1 Michigan, 6-4 Stanford, 6-4 Pitt, and 6-4 Northwestern. The Knights have wins against 6-4 Temple, 6-4 Memphis, and 6-4 Pitt.

Best case, UCF ends the regular season 11-0. The game with North Carolina will not be played.

Best case, UCF wins their CCG and finish 12-0, King of the G5's.

Then it goes downhill. You simply don't have the resume to get into the big dance. You're not going to jump 12-0 Notre Dame. You're not going to jump 12-1 P5's. There are some 11-1 and 11-2 P5's ... it would be awfully close.

Of course, I, personally, would welcome undefeated UCF into the magic circle. You'd have to take a 4 seed, you understand, no offense intended. So you would start your playoff adventure with Bama. Who would stomp you into the turf. As would any of the other three invitees, but when Bama does it, it's a stomping. You would, of course, attempt some kind of moral victory from the wreckage, but it would be in vain. All people will remember is that you came, got stomped flat, and were laughed back into the obscurity you came from.
