SEC Getting Some Love

13 of the last 18 National Champs have come from the ACC or Big East... Easily could have been 14 as the 2014 UConn team, from the American Athletic, won the title the year after the original Big East disbanded.

Clemson was without their best player also.

Just saying that AU team wouldn't have even made it to the tourney last year and would have lost to about 1/3 of the tourney in almost the same fashion. Luckily, we get our two best players back and will have 4 back that did not play in that game in Wiley, Purifoy, McLemore, and Doughty..

Pretty similar to the Big East in 2011. They had 11 teams in the tournament, and UConn was the only to make it to the Elite 8... Crazy to think UConn was in a 3-way tie for 9th place in the Big East.
I didn't realize that.... back when the BE was the dominant conference. That's nuts.

1. There was no champion in 2013. 2. That was 6 years ago.

This. People know that the aggregate years from from 2001 to 2010 is 10. But somehow if the numbers are 2002 to 2010, we somehow think it's 8 years. Please, people. If you want the total years, you simply subtract the two numbers, and add one. (2018 - 2015 = 3.. 3+ 1= 4.... 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)

There was a tournament winner, nobody said national champion.
As others have said, nobody from the ACC won... and like I said, 6 years ago. That Louisville math is a funny thing. Also, the "spin" on that is cute. Tourney winner still has an asterisk though. Laughing

Elementary addition and subtraction isn't covered until grad school at Louisville. :D

Nope, I’m on the same shit that caused Urban Myers memory loss. :D

....nah, you're just afflicted with that stupidity virus that lingers in DUH-Ville. Symptoms include memory loss, extreme denial, wearing red gear with a bird that somehow has teeth, stenciled beards, fluent in gang signs and an unhealthy obsession with Crown Royal and Black n' mild cigars.

Is that why some Uk fans show up to our games whenever there is literally nothing involving them? Do they have the serious case of stupid in “DUH-Ville?”

1. Louisville was in the Big East at the time, so it's weird to count it as some sort of ACC accomplishment. 2. Louisville did not win the 2013 NCAA Tournament, so it's weird to count it as some sort of ACC accomplishment.
1. We are now, so....
2. It did happen, it was just stripped by an unruly organization that you Cat fans hate on when it's applicable to your own team.

Sure there was. I saw it with my own eyes. April 2013 was 5 years and 4 and a half months ago. I know you're speaking on behalf of the 2012-2013 season, but the 2018-2019 season hasn't started yet, so it's 5 years. Unless you're prone to rounding.

The NCAA might of taken the title away, but we won the Championship that year. I attended that game, we won. You and I both know the hookers didn't boost up the play by our fleet of 4 star players with Wayne Blackshear and Chane Behanan barley making it into the 5 star realm.

At the least the SEC will win a title every decade or so. The Big Ten won their last title when.......... I am old and can't remember............. Reagan was President ...?

At the least the SEC has football!RollLaugh
If Reagan were President in 2000, then yeah--Reagan. SEC's, aside from a blip here and there, is Kentucky. Florida some. But mainly Kentucky. It's a one trick pony conference, man. You know this. It's why it burns your ass so much. Big 10 got 4 less teams in, yet won more games. I mean, dude. How's that happen? The last team in the field, beat the SEC champs [Auburn] by 31. Thirty-one.
As a WHOLE, the Big 10 is better. And by a lot.

You Louisville guys and your math. It doesn't matter if 2018-19 hasn't started yet; 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18. How many seasons is that? You guys are hilarious. RollLaugh

@dukedevilz drops some serious knowledge on this board and nobody ever seems to notice. I feel bad for the SEC honks on this board. I also understand why the B1G and PAC 12 fans need their own threads too.

You know it's bad when only 3 titles (sans UK) from 2 teams have come from an entire conference since 1939. I think there is obviously good reason for fans of the conference to be excited though; they are getting high caliber coaches, players, and facilities and are quickly becoming one of the best conferences in college basketball. They've never been able to say that before. I know I much prefer to see UK play competitive teams in conference play these days.

It still was technically 5 years, I stated 2012-13 season to now would be regarded as 6, but in terms of years since said championship, it was 5.
