Really bad. I mean Bama isn't the offensive juggernaut that Temple is. But in the end---Still bad.

I used to like UCF a little when I lived in Orlando years ago and watched Dante play as they were about to join Div 1. But this inane, low self confidence boasting years later is a bit much. You ought to be trying to make a name for yourselves in academics first. It’s today’s UCF fans that make it hard for me to root for UCF in anything.
I used to be one of the only people in the stands when Culpepper was QB. Now it’s a bunch of braggarts who never play anyone in the top 20 trying to claim their team is a bigger deal than they are.

Didn't even realize they were going to play when I wrote that post. I assumed UCFHonors was posting about football and I wrote back about basketball since this is a basketball forum.
I was really just addressing it to Honors. The comments you made helped me make a point but I saw you are more a DePaul fan.
The reason it looked to you like he was talking about football is that he calls them “Bama” in his post. He apparently thinks that’s what to call them because he is part of the SEC wannabe teams. We in the SEC normally call them Alabama in basketball. (Except in this thread where I used Honors’ shorter spelling so I could type faster.)
They get called Bama more in football because they are a big deal in football. Alabama is not top 100 in basketball. He is trying to make playing them sound like a big deal when it’s not except in football.
Of course Alabama might still wind up winning, which should embarrass UCF. But probably nothing embarrasses them.

I am not from Florida or Alabama, nor am I a fan of any school in either state but I’ve lived a number of places. You’re an SEC wannabe, admit it. That’s why you keep ranting about how you think you can beat Alabama in something other than football.
Because we both know you can’t stay within 20 points of Alabama in football at the end of a game. And you likely won’t ever play them any time soon either in football because they tend to play in the championship. You stack your record with cream puffs and it gets you nowhere.

You created an entire thread acting like anyone cares if you beat a team ranked by the NCAA NET as 109th in basketball (down 5 from the prior ranking, downward trending). This is how you think you get respect. It doesn’t work in any sport to try to inflate your record with easy wins.
You should realize that all you’ve done by creating this thread is give yourself something to be embarrassed about if you somehow lose to the 109th team in the country.
