*****OFFICIAL NCAA TOURNEY THREAD*****

Anyone notice the announcer has been saying, historically great Kansas, but just refered to UNC as a Blue Blood? Lol

This is classic. Miami hitting every open look they get. Hitting every FT. KU is missing wide open jumpers, by our best shooters. And 3-9 from the FT line.

Game over for KU. Self’s but was puckered the moment the Providence game ended.

This is a classic E8 loss for Self. Opponent is loose while Self’s team is extremely tight to the point they can’t make FTs or 3s.
Its strange how KU always tends to struggle in Elite 8 games, even when they won it was extremely hard and tight. I recall during the 2008 title run, 10th seed Davidson gave them much more trouble than the last 3 round and the final 4 game against UNC combined.

He has been a beast in this tournament but he's gonna have to get some help. Looking forward to seeing what Self does to adjust.

Remy can be that guy but he can also make a lot of mistakes and if he starts trying to do too much. Kansas doesn't want to fall behind much more or it could get dangerous

Kansas had offensive issues vs. Creighton and Providence as well. I don't think they'll get away with it tonight. Need a better offensive half in the second half.

Throwing in the towel down 2 in the 1st half.🤣

Seen this story too often in the E8. KU can’t make any shots while the opponent makes a ton of tough shots. The opponent is always 100x looser than Self’s teams. He just does something that causes his teams butts to pucker.

KU is defending well, but Miami is hitting tough shots.

Meanwhile we are missing wide open looks. This is why I hate playing the underseeded high seed in these situations. They have nothing to lose and shoot loose, and it adds a lot of pressure to the higher seed. We have tended to play better when we play the 2 seed in these games.

I love Coach L and this Miami team but my god Miami fans almost make me want to root against them

KU just needs to pound it inside in the 2nd half. Stop with all the bullshit jumpers. They have the ability to own the paint in this game.

Nothing worse than that.

Not today. I would say keep him on the bench but Harris is terrible too.
We had no choice. Wilson picked up his 2nd foul. It’s no coincidence that they made their run when he went to the bench. Wilson is a far better defender. JCL is worth the switch if he’s hitting his shots, but today that apparently isn’t the case.

To be fair Davidson had the best player on the floor and the best shooter of all time playing in that game

There are Miami fans?

You do realize Alabama beat Miami by 32 this season right?
And they lost to Iona. Alabama is a bipolar team.
That being said, what happened early in the year means little. Miami is playing well, and have played well all tourney long. They beat your tigers by 18. They are a classic example of one of those teams that hits their stride late and gets underseeded compared to what they’re capable of. UNC early in the season would have lost their first game in this tourney. Right now they might be the hottest team in the tourney.
