So you guys thought you'd take a step back, in year two, under Brohm?

Really?
Yeah I did anyway. The defensive side of the ball lost so many key players. I thought the offense would be better this year though but overall I really did think this Purdue team would be worse than last season just based on the defense.

so you are saying that his Uncle knows more than his father who was there during that interview not you uncle Foster. sure thing Uncle jaycg15. as of now NOBODY leads for TJD and he has no plans to narrow it down till after he takes his visits. this comes from a interview with a ISU beat writer at the Des Moines Register. I doubt that he is going to tell a ISU writer that.

this writer has some of his articles posted on Hawkeye Central as it is owned by the local News Paper called the Daily Iowan so they post what they get on HawkCentral.

Also interesting to hear some other schools not yet involved may actually jump in.

Can you cite the post where you said that?

No, its Fresno fvcking State. How many of those wins came against California vocational schools?
Meh...They did Boise State and San Diego State. Plus beat Houston in the Hawaii Bowl. Not some great team. But they were certainly a good team.

They beat a ranked Boise State team last year and are in the top ten in the country, this year, in percentage of returning talent. They also scored the most points of any team in the country in week 1.

Who will be the next team that won 10 games last year to be overhyped in this thread?

We had Purdue fans overhyping Northwestern last week.

We have a Minnesota fan overhyping Fresno State this week.

Which Big Ten team plays a team that won 10 games last year next weekend???

Yeah, almost all our fans thought the team may be about the same or perhaps slightly better, but the schedule (2nd in the country preseason) would limit the win total

Obviously I think we all thought directional Mac school would be a W, so clearly season is looking much worse than 5-6 wins, as I said above

I’m guessing 6 wins but can easily see as few as 4 if the defense mightily struggles like I think it will. I think the offense should be improved with the retention of most of the key pieces plus the addition of a playmaker like Moore. Defense really is the wild card though. Lost so many key players from last season but then again a lot of those players wouldn’t have been as good if not for the new regime, so I have some hope.

Copy-pasted from the home board under predictions.

The difference being Fresno State basically returned everyone of significance this season while NW lost some key pieces. Like I said this was a good win for the gophers against an experienced team. Our leading passer, rusher, and receiver are all true Freshmen, so you can poo poo this win all you want but I was impressed with the way our young talent competed with a veteran squad.

Fran gets his 3rd PG in Tuissaint out of NY. this has been a priority to get 3 PG's on the team. play a year then take over the starting PG position as a SO.
referred to as a lock down defender by a rivals writer.

in other news Garza is out indefinitely after having surgery to remove a Benign Cyst removed from his abdomen. best this it was not cancerous.

have no clue what this type of surgery does to a players recovery time. anybody know anything about this? thx in advance
