Meh.....Purdues been to one FF in my adult lifetime . Last time y'all went, I was 7. I'm now 51. Purdue has been solid the past 10 years..That doesn't make up for the previous 100..

I think it’s crazy pervasive. Hell, I heard from multiple sources that, when Purdue played Wisconsin late in the season, Krabbenhoft walked up to Mason Gillis during warmups and said “If you decide to enter the portal, we’d love to have you at Wisconsin.”
Technically a violation but most will just shrug it off.

I think we are as close as a program as we've ever been in the aggregate (obviously we've had individual seasons like this year that were close but the overall program trend is what I mean). Painter has proven himself to be an elite identifier and developer of talent and the recruiting is trending up.
Of course, that is set against the backdrop of a tournament that is still very much random and will likely become more so with the transfer portal and NIL which is what would give me pause from saying we will win a Natty in my lifetime.
I do. @boilerzz hit a lot of the main points but I think the tournament run this year can help with future recruits who saw Painter finally break through and make a F4. That was always a knock on him that he was great in the regular season but couldn’t get it done in the postseason. I think Purdue opened a lot of eyes this year that will help us down the road.

It looks like we will indeed be able to field a team next year after 3 pickups this weekend. Had me worried for a bit there. Whether they’re worth a shit is still TBD. At least we’re leaving whitest team in the conference to Iowa still. @hawkit3113

Personally I would take a backup 5 and one more shooting guard or wing with a stroke.
Obviously these are bench players thus making the portal less productive. May one there will be more options and there are still some solid HS players he could pick up both committed and uncommitted.
I like the HS route in order to build some 3-4 year core players.

Supposedly an Ukraine big from Monmouth and Alex Hemenway, 3pt shooter and injury specialist from Clemson.
If he's not back in Ukraine at this point, he's probably not a good shooter
