Just going through homeboard thread for Murray commitment. Glad I was in the early stages of quitting drinking following 2015 B1G football championship game loss. I was having doubts about myself as a talent evaluator while I was learning how to sleep again without alcohol. Or I would be getting dunked on tonight on the homeboard for calling for a return to the Lickliter era of having a terrible couple seasons and then everyone halfway decent transferring.
So if a 3 month season > a 3 day tournament, does that mean a 5 month season > a 3 week tournament?

I think winning a Big Ten regular season title was far more important and desirable for us this year than making the arbitrary cutoff of a Sweet Sixteen or ~The Second Weekend~ yet we are constantly made fun of for it, lol.
Now that we’re defending Big Ten champs, I’d prefer a Sweet Sixteen/beyond this year, but I agree with his point - we all know who the good/healthy programs have been/are, and nitpicking categories is just dumb.

Meh, I don't care to much about what has happened last year, etc, etc....Just no bearing on this year.
IU has had talent----but not depth. THis year, they have both. Only concern I have with this team is shooting. It cost IU a ton of games last year, and possibly a chance at a Top 4 or better finish; lost 6 of their 11 B10 games by 5 points or fewer.
NO reason not to be confident. Lot of pieces returning off a 21 win, NCAAT team. Time will tell.
