I think it's changed so that you can play a conference team as early as the Round of 32 as long as they've exhausted all other requirements for spreading out teams in the same conference.

They don't always go on the S curve. Sometimes they have to adjust based on teams. UNC and FSU can't be Duke's 2.

So ACC gets 3 one seeds. I wonder if Tenn would have gotten the last one seed if they put up a better performance today. I know the games on the final Sunday of the regular season don’t usually count, but Tenn got their sht pushed in, which maybe was the final nail in the coffin.
