***Official B1G In-Season Thread***

If Izzo wins the BIG with that team, it is his IMHO.

That said, Dusty and Guard would be close seconds.

Sounds like we are at least all smart enough to agree that it shouldn't go to someone like Ben Johnson, who was projected to finish last but might end up in the lower middle of the B1G. I hate when people do that. And I think Johnson is doing a great job considering the BS hand he was dealt (guessing their NIL is non-existent).

You can’t go wrong with any of the top 4. All have done it under different circumstances. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a CoCOY.

Yep. Until this past week, I'd have had Painter right there. I know we were B1G favorites coming in but that's because there was a lot of uncertainty about other teams and voters were giving Paint the benefit of the doubt. If we had won an outright B1G title after losing the 2 time NPOY, he'd have certainly been worthy of consideration.

Interesting read here. Hard to rank different eras but think they did a pretty good job. About the only change I'd make would be swapping Ryan and Keady. Keady had a great run but zero Final Fours puts him behind Ryan and Painter.

Man, MD would be in this discussion if they didn’t blow that game at Washington.

Watch out man, Wisconsin isn’t Towson Tough😎.

Purdue sucks donkey balls. We’re trying to win an outright conference championship here and losing at MSU isn’t going to help that happen.

I don’t think it would’ve mattered but those two fouls on Heide are a rough way to end it.

Just too many bad offensive possessions that led to runouts.

This team is looking a little cooked.

Luckily the under on that 148.5 was easy money.

Unfortunately not going to be a 3-peat. Oh well we can start a new streak next year.

Our interior defense is terrible. Really miss Jacobsen’s rim protection but not sure we’d have been as potent offensively if TKR was playing the 4.
Don’t see how the offense is any different with Jacobsen playing alongside TKR instead of Furst.

MSU wasn’t even defending Furst tonight lol.

Serious question for the pu guys.

What happened with Furst? He was a kid that both IU and PU thought would be a big time guy

You can’t change his whiteness.
I mean the funny thing is he’s twice the athlete that TKR is - better leaper, faster, and way way quicker.

His biggest issue is that his hands suck.

I do think he was a square peg in a round hole when paired with edey, as our 4 needed to be a floor spacing, stationary shooter like Gillis, and Furst didn’t thrive in that role. Then whatever confidence he had was shot.

Bad hands are no bueno in bball. We’ve got a few like that and they are always frustrating.

His issue was more so that he kept leaving his feet and turning it over. If he just chucked all game instead of turning it over Purdue would have had a great shot to win imo
Just looks overwhelmed trying to do things he physically cannot. Lot of bad guards in the league which he has taken advantage of. The Dance will be a challenge
