These teams are a combined 2/20 from 3. Gotta believe both teams shoot better in the 2nd half. Zona looking long and athletic.
I’d still take Jones over anyone we have. Walker passes up open looks.
Not having floor spacing surrounding Dickinson also decreases his effectiveness. Teams will continue to double until you can prove you can punish like last year. Not having a 4 who’s a great shooter hurts. Livers being as good as he was as a PF helped your spacing immensely.
I was really surprised how much Smith’s departure was blown off. To be fair I dismissed Ayo’s as well.
I was sold on Rocket Watts being able to take over the PG role effectively. It happens.
This isn’t related, but it’s been awesome to see how quickly ayo’s role has grown with the bulls. It’ll be interesting how Donovan splits his and Coby Whites minutes
I mostly just want to talk about the bulls because they’re super fun right now.
Where about do we think Seton Hall and Arizona should be ranked? Keep it mind Seton Hall did it on the road.
Starting to get some Orgeron vibes from Juwan. Don’t like the direction he is going into terms of roster building and lack of shooters. Putting Brandon Johns on the court for 20+ minutes a night and Adrian Nunez in the game at all is pretty awful
They’ve been fun. I kinda think it’ll depend if they need O or D. Coby will come in for DeMar and Zach and Ayo will come in for Zo and AC.
Thibs defense of making someone else beat him made Donovan go with Coby tonight.
I feel like he’s recruiting pretty damn good shooters. Bufkin is one, Houstan was supposed to be one, and Jones had good percentages at Coastal. Isn’t Jett supposed to be a shooter shooter as well? I don’t think I’d say you guys have been not recruiting shooters.
Jones is a career mid 30% 3 pt shooter. Bufkin and Houston I’m not worried about long term. But Collins is a complete non shooter. Williams can’t shoot. Jett is supposedly a shooter but McDaniel and Glenn aren’t at all.

Michigan , Illinois , Ohio State and MD all looked not up to par so far - room for Sparty and Hoosiers to move on up in conference play this year ?
I try not to react to much in November----It usually comes back to bite ya in March.

However, besides Purdue , not a good start of the year for the Big Ten top five teams.
You guys can’t shoot that bad and I don’t expect you to long term, but the interior defense needs to improve, and that’s from the guard to Dickinson. The ease of getting to the basket from entry passes to drives was not great defense.

Very true as well...Right now, Purdue looks a couple of notches above the rest. But then again, its just November. And you know how cofnerence play is----tough.
The problem is Eli Brooks is the only shooter on the floor so they can double him with impunity. Last year he was surrounded by 4 legit shooters at all times

Dickinson is a big guy. He should be able to body around and establish some post position. Unless they are literally doubling him when he enters the post area even without the ball, he needs to get down there more.
I agree about the lack of shooting though. Makes all of offense much harder if you don’t have it. It’s the top thing I’m worried about with MSU so far. We’ve looked better in some area than I thought we would, like Bingham has been great, but our shooting sucks right now.
