Izzo is #1 and if we pushed this last back just 1 year he would add another Final Four lol.

I’m assuming he thinks they should have fired Collins. It’s well overdue. But at the same time, they’re not going to get anyone better so I kinda get hoping Collins figures it out (he won’t). I also think there’s something to a chicago area school not wanting to fire Doug Collins’ son.
They know what they got and they know what they are. They are hoping he can get them into the tourney and compete every so often. They want to see them at least make progress in the conference of they will fire him next year.

I get a chuckle over there....I post decently over there, and for the most part---its all good. But hey, a spade is a spade----I;ve always called it like it is---Or tried.

Over there(RR), to most, their bracket is a cakewalk...I simply asked---"Did you not see Purdue as your 3:?----Meh, they are terrible defensively-----Yeah, ok. But I point out 4 things:

Zach Edey, Trevion WIlliams, Ivey, and the fact Purdue can score....

Blah, blah.....THen I'm like, ya'll go as Oscar goes...And when he's not in the game, ya'lll struggle. Plus, UK hasn't played anyone really that can match Oscar----And point out not only does Purdue have ONE dude that can----but TWO----and both are really good..

More blah, blah and blah...

Then I read wherre they say UK struggles with fast, speedy guards-----Enter Jaden Ivey.

Blah, blah some more.

Then of course the ship changes course, and they begin to remind me IU sucks, we are a 12 seed----TX AM should have gotten in before us....Blah, bkah and blah...

When they switched to that discussion, Borden knew he had won..... 😁
My man! Again!

Been on the Iowa train for a few weeks. Murray twins are a huge mismatch for most. Illinois and Purdue still have a shot but they're looking a little broken.
Lol we beat Iowa a week ago. Not concerned about loss to a team in do or die mode.

B1G tourney wasn’t one of Illinois’ goals this year.

Looking like they are delaying the inevitable. Not much upward mobility for that program. B1G is too stacked to let Northwestern climb…

Iowa went 9-1 over their last 10, a 2pt loss @Ill. Illinois went 6-4 with losses to Indians, Rutgers, and OSU at home. Illinois hasn't looked great to end the year. Quit being a lil bitch and accept it.

Lol Iowa had a cakewalk for their last 10 and lost to us in that stretch.

Beating Purdue was impressive and surprising though.

Alright, time for another lengthy history lesson (this is your tl;dr disclaimer).

This is how every Big Ten Tournament Champion has gone on to fare in the NCAA Tournament (the next post will be regular season champs AND the B10 team(s) with the farthest run):

1998- Michigan (2nd Round)

1999- *Michigan State (Final Four)

2000- *Michigan State (National Champions)

2001- Iowa (2nd Round)

2002- *Ohio State (2nd Round)

2003- Illinois (2nd Round)

2004- Wisconsin (2nd Round)

2005- *Illinois (National Runner-up)

2006- Iowa (1st Round)

2007- *Ohio State (National Runner-up)

2008- *Wisconsin (Sweet 16)

2009- Purdue (Sweet 16)

2010- *Ohio State (Sweet 16)

2011- *Ohio State (Sweet 16)

2012- *Michigan State (Sweet 16)

2013- Ohio State (Elite 8)

2014- Michigan State (Elite 8)

2015- *Wisconsin (National Runner-up)

2016- Michigan State (1st Round)

2017- Michigan (Sweet 16)

2018- Michigan (National Runner-up)

2019- *Michigan State (Final Four)

2021- Illinois (2nd Round)

2022- Iowa???

*- also B10 regular season champs

Notes:
- Only 2002 Ohio State, who had that season vacated due to sanctions, failed to reach at least the Sweet 16 as a double champ

- Non-regular season champs are a bit more sporadic, and have managed to find themselves in every round of the tournament from 1st to the National Championship game

- 2006 Iowa and 2016 MSU are the only two conference tournament champs to lose in the 1st Round

- More Big Ten tourney champs have reached at least the Final Four, than any other round of the NCAA Tournament. The Sweet 16 and 2nd Rounds tie for second with 6 appearances a piece.
