I like Milwaukee. Yes, it has awful and unimpressive areas like every city now a days, but I tend to appreciate cities with their warts. I’m a native Peorian, I live in Chicago and my fiancé is from the Quad Cities … all cities that tons of people would call “shitholes” but also areas I KNOW have awesome parts and I love all of them. Total sucker for old river towns, beat the hell out of fruitcake commie college towns and boring-as-fvck white bread suburbs!
It’s just one of those basic facts of life … no matter how good we are and how shitty you are, Illinois WILL lose to Maryland.
