How did 0.3 seconds come off the clock? It should’ve still been 8.1 seconds with the ability to run the baseline.
The clock started to soon---there was 6.7 when the foul/catch was made/called. Officials noticed it. Fixed, set it to 7.8. Since the ball had been inbounded, and then there was a timing error, its a PLAY. Thus the previous throw end is now considered over, ended....Thus not giving you the right to run the baseline....The official told Hunter, and physically indicated he could not run the baseline.

Don't get pissed at the officials----get pissed at your clock keeper.

The clock doesn’t start when our inbounder throws it to a teammate out of bounds right?

No...It starts when its touched.

It was the right call, the right amount of time, etc, etc.....

Again, the error is not of the officials....They did exactly ehat the rule says. Its on your clock guy.

Here's the best explanation I can give....

Clock started before the ball was legally touched...

Throw in is completed when ball was touched

Here is why clock was reset...

The error was recognized meaning the referee blew the whistle when the ball was legally touched inbounds. At that point, there's no do-over...

which means you go from 8.1 to 7.8, which by rule is the minimum amount of time that can come off the clock.

So now, with the FIRST throw in being ended by the ball being LEGALLY touched, its not longer a throw-in after a made basket....

Under 10 seconds the head ref (Bo) is supposed to have control of starting the clock. That’s why he was pissed the clock operator started it.

Was someone blaming the refs? The clock guy has one ****ing job. Jeebus!
Not that I'm aware of....At first, yeah----but thats simply due to folk not understand the rule. I think most are wondering why the clock was set @ 7.8---WHich I tried to explain.

And yet it's the truth.

Fun fact. Don't beat Iowa, and you won't get f***ed in the long run. The short term fake satisfaction is not worth it.....:D
Monkey might be onto something here. B1G teams have kicked the piss out of Iowa consistently since 2000, but haven't been able to win a national title.

Makes you wonder...

Is Michigan’s record or percentage wrong here? 2-6 is 25%, not 33%

You probably should be
I actually passively was growing up because I spent the first several years of my life in Illinois and my dad went to school there.

I’m not going to switch from IU though, I’m mostly used to getting disappointed by them at this point. Being a Cubs fan has given me good practice at not being too disappointed by a shitty sports product.

Come on man, you’ll be a perfect Illinois football fan

The last time MSU beat UM in football and then all of the basketball games against them in the same school year was the 2015 football season and the 15-16 basketball season
