I thought our game with Seton Hall was going to be the easiest of Osu’s high profile OOC games. With Sueing possibly out for the year I wonder if they can win any of them.
Just saying a lower body injury. Got hurt late last year and thought it was healed until it flared again in their secret scrimmage. He played a little in the first two games and was clearly bothered by it. After the game on Monday, Holtmann said it was significant and they’re hopeful to get him back at some point this year.
He didn’t play on Monday. Was in Cleveland seeing a specialist.
He's been exactly what Purdue needs out of him so far. Be active on the defensive end and a ball-mover on offense. The struggles may come against quicker guards who can get a step on him.
But anyone calling Morton the worst player in the B1G while rooting for a team with Khristian Lander on the roster should be taken very seriously.
Lander is better than Morton by a good margin. Use stats to backup your opinion.
This reminds me of the IU assistant holding up a sign that said “call out screens”.

Player A is getting 18 mpg on a top-10 team
Player B is getting walk-on run on a team trying to make their first tournament appearance since the Obama administration.
Lol When you only have 9 scholarship players available, it’s easy for the 9th man to get minutes. Morton’s minutes will go down significantly when Gillis is back.
You are a fool if you think Morton is better than Lander. There is absolutely nothing to back that up. Morton has 10 points in 54 min of play this year. Lander has 7 in 7 min.
Last year Morton had 14 total points in 200 minutes of play (11 of which came in games 2 and 3). Lander has 55 points in 262 minutes of play along with better percentages across the board.
Basketball is more than scoring and recruiting rankings. Not remotely surprised an IU fan doesn’t get that.
Two hours of watching a kid who can’t swing an axe trying to chop down a skinny dead tree…wtf? Should fit in nicely.
Lander plays mop up minutes because he’s a bum. Morton actually gets valuable minutes. This isn’t difficult to grasp.
Morton shot 25% from the floor last year and still had a better ORtg than Lander.
But I'm very happy that Lander made the most of his mop-up minutes against Northern Illinois.
Morton plays minutes because he has to with Gillis out. His minutes will go down significantly when Gillis is back. Painter said he was your 6th best guard. That’s not good on a team with Hunter and IT. Lander is a PG with 2 Senior PGs ahead of him.
Let’s hear your projected stat line and mpg for Morton after Gillis gets back.
Lander has only been given 7 min of time on the floor?! Worst 5* since the Jewish Jordan?
Stats to compare a guy who plays 18 mpg versus one who has only played in 1 game because he was too much of a bum to play in the other 2?
Morton has 2.3 steals a game, 3.3 points, and 2 assists a game while playing really solid defense. I’m sure you would’ve looked at Kramer’s stat line and thought he sucked too (and no I’m not saying Morton is on Kramer’s level defensively).
Trying to say a guy who has only played 7 minutes in mop-up duty is better than a guy who’s played 50 minutes for a top 10 team is classic Trojan and it’s hilarious.

Maybe Pac 12 champion Oregon should've lost to the 2 seed last year so that the higher seeded team could've gotten to play in the Sweet 16 instead of them.........ever think about that?
Why blame one team when the other is usually moreso to blame?
14 points in 200 minutes. Northern Illinois is about the same level of competition you have been playing so far.
We will see how Morton does on Saturday vs UNC’s bigs.

Lol at acting like Lander is sitting behind some bonafide studs. It’s not like he’s backing up Yogi. Phinisee is average at beat and Johnson is solid but nothing crazy. A 5* sophomore not getting minutes on an average team is pretty bad.

RP and Johnson are significantly better than IT and Hunter. Hunter has completely lost his offensive game.
Phinisee sucks and Johnson is average. But whatever you need to tell yourself for why your 5* sophomore isn’t getting minutes.
Doesn’t mean they’re so talented that Lander can’t even crack the rotation. They’re average at best.

There are 40 minutes of play at the PG spot. Please tell me how you expect there to be 3 guys playing there.
Xavier Johnson is far from average. RP is average, but still better than Morton.
What’s wrong with either of those? Trevion was supposed to be an All American, so of course you would rather face his backup.
It was debatable at the time who had the best backup big in the league. Even you Purdue fans had no clue Edey would be starting over Trevion.
