It's clearly Broome. Flagg is great but he's doing a lot of his damage against mid-major level teams.
I don't care if it's a regular season award, I'm still waiting for the tourney to make my decision.
I would've too until a couple of weeks ago. He may have taken on too much of the load for Purdue because he looks worn out. I hope he gets the mojo back soon. We need it.
Flagg, in my opinion, will be really good at the next level.

Broome has been unreal this year against the best competition in the country and against the best athletes in the country. Hope he gets picked up in the second round and is given a legit chance to perform at the next level.

What's interesting is his numbers aren't as bad as he's looked. In the 4 game losing streak, he's averaging:
13.8 pts, 4.3 rebounds , 8 assists (with a 2.42 ATO) while shooting 45% from two, 35% from three 83% from the line.
Most players would take those stats but we are so reliant on him being elite that just good isn't good enough. And he was terrible in the 2nd half against IU so there is some recency bias there.
So many teams have a shot. You can feel the nervous energy with March looming. Except for @bignish who took Duke over the field.

Really glad he removed that automatic turnover play from his arsenal. Haven't seen him try in a long time.
I mean it would be bullshit. Duke has played 1 ranked opponent in the last 2 months and they lost that game. Thats it. Currently in the net rankings LSU is the lowest ranked SEC team at 89. The ACC has 9 schools ranked lower than LSU.

Basically a wash. Isaiah evans having his best game of the year was the difference in that game
if we're gonna start using stuff like that then I'm giving extra credit to the guy who played most of the year at 17 years old vs the guy who turns 23 in July.
Doesn't matter how bad the ACC is, Flagg is still playing every night vs men often 3-5 years more physically mature than him. He's a boy playing vs young men. Don't care how bad the ACC is, that's way more impressive than old man Broome beating up on guys who are pretty much all younger than him.
Pretty close. I wonder if voters will take into consideration that Flagg is supposed to be a senior in high school right now. I'm not saying they should, but wonder if it will impact their thinking.

Honestly I don't think there is too much of a complaint to be made on who wins the award as long as it is one of those two. Argument can be made for either one based on different factors. Right now, FanDuel has it -120 Broome and -105 Flagg for the Wooden award, and Draft Kings has it -155 Flagg and +120 Broome. Fanatics has it Flagg -160, Broome +120. I won't be too torn up either way. There is a much bigger prize that both Duke and Auburn fans are hoping for!
I think voters should definitely take it into consideration. Im 100% giving Flagg more credit for doing something it took Broome 5 years to figure out.
