no thanks. I'm sure it's lovely, but ...I think I have two lips to plant some where.I recommend driving around ks
I never heard of those cities being vacation hot spots and I never been to KY. The closest I been to was Hunington WV and I haven’t been back. I may have to check it out.

It's pretty nuts when you experience it. I always leave Kentucky hungover. I can't wait until I can retire back home. If not for my wife's amazing job in Memphis, we'd be back there yesterday.Went to Lexington last summer with college buddies. Keeneland was sick, as were the bars in Lexington. And I've been to the Derby in Louisville a few times, enough said.
Great state, and the people were even better. I couldn't believe the hospitality at Keeneland and the like. Of course, I have to say some of the best folks were Louisville fans at the game last year, and the Heels curb stomped em, but they were all so nice. It's pretty nuts when you experience it. Clearly the fans that attend Kentucky games are not represented by the fans on RR.The guys story has been deleted. but...

**** RR, I should rephrase. RR is passionate. No doubt.Clearly the fans that attend Kentucky games are not represented by the fans on RR.
Is Tennessee a flyover state? Because Nashville is the shit. You guys vacation in fly over states?
Ummm, who goes to KY on vacation?
I assume this means you met your first Texan recently.Arrogant yankees are the worst. Though I have recently discovered that people from Texas are also arrogant.
Kentucky is 10 times trashier than NJ will ever be, and I’m from Ky.I love my state. Rich, some of the best education in the nation, some of the best health care in the nation, almost the entire Revolutionary War was fought here, I drove into the middle of midtown Manhattan on Monday night in 35 minutes for a big ass dinner, and some of the most beautiful small towns around... nothing better than wandering main street on a beautiful summer day, stopping in one of a hundred restaurants for brunch, sitting in the village green, going to the little local theatre... Sure, there are shithole parts of NJ, and there are some trashy people, but there are shithole parts of, and trashy people in, Kentucky and Mississippi and North Carolina and Montana and all sorts of other places. And yeah, the taxes are a bit high, but we get a lot for them, and SOMEONE has to take care of those "taker" states in the South.
Most people who trash Jersey haven't been here, or have only been on the nasty piece of highway around Newark International/the ports. It's really quite nice

Arkansas? The Ozarks are one hell of a party.
Indianapolis? Broadripple is a great time.
I could go on and on...
No thanks. I'm sure those are all great for people already living in fly over states.
I’ll be in the Dominican partying for NYE, and heading to Colorado and Florida this summer. Sure, there are better options, but that doesn’t mean “flyover” states don’t have plenty to offer.
My wife always laughs at me for bringing up the idea. But I would love to go fishing in Montana.
Or hiking in Utah.
But it would take a lot to get her to agree to a vacation anywhere away from the Caribbean. Which is fine I guess.
She always talks about going to Europe because she lived there for a while. But there is a lot of America that I would like to see first.
I have always wanted to travel out west and do some hiking/exploring. I am a huge mountains fan, and just a nature nerd in general. One day..
Have you been to NJ? and Louisville doesn't speak for Kentucky.Kentucky is 10 times trashier than NJ will ever be, and I’m from Ky.
I have indeed, Atlantic City is super cool, the shore and boardwalk are always nice in summer, I’ve been to Cape May and Ocean grove as well. I have a friend from grad school that lives in Hoboken, I’ve visited him several times and always enjoy myself, just really neat landscape, plus as Dude said, NYC is super close.Have you been to NJ? and Louisville doesn't speak for Kentucky.

Louisville doesn’t speak for Ky, but tbh Kentucky just isn’t that interesting aside from Red River Gorge, Cumberland Falls, Keeneland-Churchill downs and of course our college sports. I love Louisville don’t get me wrong, have had some decent experiences in Lex, but overall the rest of the state ain’t all that. Kinda sucks.
Dude Pitt is surprisingly fun.Areas of NJ outside of Philly near Lambertsville and Princeton were pretty impressive. That’s the only part of Jersey I’ve been too, but that’s a different world.
Also a much more expensive and crowded world. Definitely some downsides to that.
In the past year, I’ve been to probably 10 US cities, including Chicago, New York and Miami. City I had most fun in was ****ing Pittsburgh, PA. Great town. Let’s give some love to Pittsburgh.
