I am right there with you...UK and Duke have both gotten a bevy of five stars over the past 10-15 yrs, and I still have no idea how they will perform in college. Not worried.

Nobody ever has any idea how these guys will adjust to the college game, if they are mature enough, will they play any semblance of defense, how will they all mesh together, how will they perform against other teams loaded with 22-24 yr olds, etc.
I thought 2019 Duke (with Zion, Barrett, etc) was a shoe-in to the Final Four at a bare minimum, they almost lost in the second round, and ultimately lost in the Elite 8. Same with 2010 UK (with Wall, Cousins, etc).
Nobody has a clue when it comes to freshmen, especially in this era.
Are you bringing back Mondo for his 10th year at UNC or is he finally going to graduate? Not worried.
Duke isn't relying on just freshmen to lead us to a title anymore either. We've got a senior PG, 3 sophomore starters, a graduate transfer backup big man to go along with 3 5 star freshmen.I've seen duke reel in 5 stars who many say can lead them to a FF/title and it only happened a couple of times with 1 title to show for it.
I've always said I'll take experienced talent over inexperienced talent all day every day and with the portal the way it is coupled with NIL kids are going to be coming and going regularly.

I expect the Heels to lose RJ Davis and possibly Harrison Ingram. Cadeau better be a star next year or your ass is getting swept by Duke.

Next year's main contributors will be mainly sophomores and juniors besides Flagg, Malauch and possibly Isaiah Evans.
We're not relying on freshmen anymore either. Teams with multiple OAD 1st Round picks generally have had a ton of success in the tourney so not sure what you're talking about.I am right there with you...UK and Duke have both gotten a bevy of five stars over the past 10-15 yrs, and I still have no idea how they will perform in college.

You then proceeded to choke away a 20 point lead to Kansas in the title game.I'm still not worried. Remember the FF game, you claimed all the pressure was on UNC, that duke had nothing to lose? I'm sure you do.
You then proceeded to choke away a 20 point lead to Kansas in the title game.
Hubert's going to have to rebuild and unless you get some incredible transfers, the next few years could be rough in Chapel Hill.

2010 Kentucky: Elite 8
2012 Kentucky: Championship
2014 Kentucky: National Title Game
2015 Duke: Title
2018 Duke: Elite 8
2019 Duke: Elite 8
2019 Kentucky: Elite 8
2022 Duke: Final 4
Those are incredible NCAAT results.

I think one of Roach, McCain or Proctor will come back. Roach is undersized and would get a big NIL bag from Duke next year but I get it if he wants to graduate and move on with his professional career.Going to be hard getting shots off with Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluach. I'd expect Duke to lead the nation in blocked shots next year.
Just not sure who our guards are going to be at this point. Caleb Foster, probably. But we'll need at least one more capable ballhandler.
With Bacot back for his 8th year you should be fine. Not worried.

McCain is a 1st rounder now but he'd be heavily featured on one of the most hyped college basketball teams of all time next year and could be a lottery pick next year if he returned. He really enjoys being at Duke too.
Proctor is no longer a 1st Round pick but I saw that Givony has him as a 1st rounder next year.
My guess for the starting lineup would be:
Proctor
Foster
Mitchell
Flagg
Maluach
If Duke somehow returns Roach or McCain to go along with Proctor and Foster, I'm getting the 40-0 tattoo. We might be one of the most dominant college basketball teams of all time as long as the injury bug doesn't hit us.
He proved he is better that the cackler Hubie. And so far your coach hasn't proved anything, again not worried duke one bit.

Has a 5* ever retired with a pension from a school before?
He proved he is better that the cackler Hubie.
Enough for me.
The obsession continues. We didn't choke against duke but we choked out k.
How many NC’s did DES win?How many FF's has lil jon led duke to?
You folks loved Hubie last year. How many FF's has lil jon led duke to?

I would rather win a NC than a Semi.

Yes, both Duke and UK, generally speaking, are relying heavily on one and done. To say otherwise is ridiculous. We're not relying on freshmen anymore either. Teams with multiple OAD 1st Round picks generally have had a ton of success in the tourney so not sure what you're talking about.

Second, with all that one and done talent UK and Duke have had, UK has been to 0 final fours since 2015, and Duke has been to one since 2015. Yep, both teams sure are tearing it up with all those one and dones.
I stand by my original post...
Its because you somehow manage to recruit 5 stars and hold them back like Kennedy Meeks, Isaiah Hicks, Brice Johnson, Justin Jackson, Theo Pinson, Joel Berry, Mondo Bacot, etc. etc. You've won a gang of recruiting titles but since that title in 2015, UNC has been to 3 FF's, 2 title games and 1 Chip.
Duke is not and hasn't since 2019. Like I said, our team this year has a SR guard, 3 sophomore starters and a grad transfer backup big man to go along with 4 freshmen.Yes, both Duke and UK, generally speaking, are relying heavily on one and done. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

Further than Hubie.Hubert sucked last year, lil jon had a talented roster, you guys were at the house on the first weekend of MM.

You're holding them back from realizing their NBA dreams and maximizing their financial success. Here we go so you're saying it's not cool for kids to stay in school?
Great talking point for either shitty recruiting or shitty development. Here we go so you're saying it's not cool for kids to stay in school?

Our team next year will likely only have 2 OAD freshmen starters.
How is that relying on OAD?
