Louisville gets notice of Inquiry from NCAA

He was placed on suspension for the 10 days and they continued to pay him while on suspension. That is not a termination. He was terminated after the 10 day suspension. I am in Human Resources and that was an appropriate action prior to termination.

Nothing can be done to him without 10 days notice. What are you not understanding. Idc what you are, obviously you haven’t read his contract dingus

Can't find it? I thought so. Of course you are a Louisville fan and they are used to lying.

I’m about 99.9% sure you’ve said it somewhere, but if not, it’s no different than any other shtick you push.

Btw, It’s no different than you all on RR exploding about Sestina. Both guys have played against lesser talent....obviously a big is going to shoot a high percentage.....If you want to be a complete homer then go here: http://www.kentucky.forums.rivals.com

Sestina (Years 1-4): 3.8, 4.8, 6.5, 15.8 ppg
Kimble (Years 1-4): 6.0, 15.5, 10.0 (1 game), 15.6 ppg

A10 > Patriot in recent years as well.

It's 2019 and you're using per game averages for player comparisons. I bet you're chomping on that hard-a$$ gum from the pack as you read them off the back of the Topps cards. Anyway:
  • Sestina - 24.4 PER, .177 WS/40, 2.6 BPM.
  • Kimble - 15.9 PER, 0.80 WS/40, -0.3 BPM.
One was a star player in his league, the other a high volume/low efficiency scorer. I'm sure Kimble will carve out a niche role and provide value, but these are not really comparable gets.

His contract stated he could not be fired without 10 days notice. The 10 days suspension with pay is the 10 day notice. He was not fired until after the 10 day suspension. What are you not understanding? A suspension is not a termination especially when you are getting paid while on suspension. You don't think the lawyers for UofL did not review his contract prior to suspension and termination?

It’s also not fair to argue what Wildcat was saying or implying. No one’s getting excited because he’s going to lead the team, it’s just an extra guy with experience to help the more talented players. The dude has NCAA tourney experience. They almost beat Oregon in 2016 and he was part of the reason that game was close late. He put up like 20 against Villanova and I believe 30+ against WVU....It’s obviously not fair to get overly excited about Sestina, but then bash on Kimble when both will have similar roles on said teams.

I’m sure you made this exact comment last year about Cunningham. He doesn’t and won’t need to be a star. However, he is going to be a roleplayer. He obviously won’t be close to our most talented PG, but will provide the leadership experience to help David Johnson and the rest of the team.

I remember when Uk fans were jumping off their couches when Baker signed yet he shoots like 32% and barely plays a game.

You coming in this thread and saying what I quoted shows how insecure you are, but that’s to be expected because we already determined your insecurity in several other threads.

And cunningham was nothing special this year either.

All I know is that his lawsuit is how he was fired, not why...and he will get some money because of something UofL did wrong when firing him, as in breaching the contract somehow. Not why he was fired, but the way he was fired. I also do not believe that a full 10 days passed during his suspension but I could be wrong. Anyways they breached the contract in some way, take it or leave it.

Show it to me.

That is what I thought. They did not breach his contract in firing him based on what I have reviewed. They may be something I have not seen. My company always suspend employees before termination. Gives us time to review the facts and hear the employees side before making a final decision. I believe UofL Lawyers probably did the same thing.

So basically you just admitted that you took your time to review Pitino’s ENTIRE contract, every single page, on top of paying attention to specifically how, when, where, etc., he was fired. Were you in the meetings at Grawmeyer?

Also, why in the world would I believe you of all people, who literally have stated several times in other threads something along the lines of “Louisville has to make the tournament first” or “Louisville didn’t even make the tournament” when we clearly did and you didn’t even know that. But yeah, you know EVERYTHING there is to know about the Pitino firing situation.

Okay buddy. You are officially obsessed with KU and UofL.

That's fair. The player comparison using only per game scoring averages is not.

Okay, talking about his fg % is not fair when there was only 1 other guy that could score significant points for them.

Yeah we also have a 5 Star in Sam Williamson that is really really good. A PG in DJ who’s extremely athletic with handles and a pure shot. A top 50 Center who’s already physically ready for cbb in AI, and and pure shooter in Nickelberry who’s got a 43 inch vertical and handles. Not to mention are returning players in Sutton, Williams, Perry, McMahon, and probably Enoch. Adding depth isn’t a bad thing. Keep hating though, I’m sure the goofy lookin white guy you guys brought on will be a sure fire stud lmfao!

6'9 PF / C averaged 16 ppg 8.5 boards ... 53.6% fg... 38% 3pt last year. All that and he doesnt have to be a stud.......... that's what Maxey, Hagans, Montgomery, Brooks, and Whitney are for. and Herro or Johnson if they decide to return (which they left the door open to doing)

The way things will shake out........... Mack isnt a freshman one and done guy so the freshmen will take more than a year to get great at the system so just another 20 win season for UL......... then NCAA hammers and gives 1-2 year post season bans... a bunch of players bolt....... and suddenly all this excitement for you UL fans turns into just another cocktease

You got me there. For some reason I thought Louisville went to the NIT. I guess they lost so early that I din't notice.

I did not say I reviewed his entire contract. Where did I say that? I said from what I saw. Get your facts right.

*lol such a yawn post.
Specifically, U of L is on the hook for allegations that two former assistants, Kenny Johnson and Jordan Fair, provided improper cash payments.

The father of high school prospect and U of L signee Brian Bowen acknowledged in court that he agreed to have his son attend Louisville and sign with adidas upon turning pro in exchange for $100,000 from adidas, and he testified that Louisville assistant Kenny Johnson gave him cash during his time in Louisville. An FBI wiretap also recorded adidas officials and Fair discussing arrangements for another recruit, who never came to the school. Fair is alleged to have paid the family of a recruit $900

Thanks for the warning. I didn’t know you were the NCAA spokesman. I guess that means you can get off this board because your work here with us and KU is done.

I see you read the Crawford article. It's funny how you choose to ignore the one he put out today.

Failed to mention:
  • Bowen Sr. admitted that UofL had no knowledge in the prejury then changed his mind the next time he was on the stand. How can you believe that.
  • Fair was deemed entrapped by the FBI, so he was removed from the superseding indictment....and since the NCAA is using FBI information, they will find nothing.
  • KJ has denied the $1300 cash payment to Bowen Sr. and is still coaching after being reviewed at wherever he is. On top of that, Bowen Sr. originally denied that as well.
  • The man, Dawkins, who put together this whole fiasco said that no one at UofL had any knowledge during the trial.
Mr. Detective KL40504, I'm glad you are trying your hardest to be a cop.

Kansas and UofL is so far in your head that you quoted me 3 times since I've been gone and all 3 were still biased comments.

Thanks for the love. You said the same kind of things during the stripper gate and you see how that turned out for Louisville.

This is the most recent article I read.
While the NCAA may be looking to make an example of the school as a way of firing back against the biggest and most widespread scandal the organization has faced since the 1950s, U of L had better be ready to vigorously defend itself against a landscape in which it – and in many ways, it alone – has taken dramatic action in the face of suspected wrongdoing. Heads rolled.
The biggest scandal the NCAA has faced since the 1950's. Not a good look for Louisville.

So what's UL's play? get so many mediocre players on the team so that the NCAA feels too bad to give that many guys not involved in the FBI cheating a post season ban?

And Sam willy wonka son or whatever his name is... I bet he's VJ King 2.0... just got highly ranked because Evan Daniels and Bossi are UL lovers.

He should be all conference. He will tear up the ACC.

Well no one really cares, we just landed an experienced PG who averages 15.6 ppg and 2.8 apg for next year a day after King announced his departure intentions. Hopefully Nwora and Enoch make the right decision and come back. I would think if Nwora isn’t a first rounder he comes back. However, he does seem like a guy who is ready to go no matter what. Hope I’m wrong. Enoch, he just isn’t ready. Movement is suspect. He needs another year.
You're right. No one will really care if you all get a 4 year tourney ban and are only allowed to play ACC regular season games in 2 years.
