It bothers me a little bit teams like Duke, Clemson, and Houston have played a patty cake schedule. Going to be interesting how it shakes out for them in the tournament either they are going to have a ton of false confidence or going to get smacked in the mouth at the first sign of adversity

It doesn't bother me at all. First of all Duke played a competitive non conference and second of all, those teams play their conference.
I have been thrilled that the SEC is a super power, but the cost of that has been we can get beat any week, cause the comp is so strong. How many years has Duke had to travel that same road?
Also, we are sitting on 5 losses and yet we are still top 6 in the country. Life is good.

Just because the SEC is the top rated conference doesn't mean you will handle adversity come tournament time because that's a different type of pressure.

It wouldn't surprise me if the conference shits the bed or have more than half the teams in the SW16.

Do you want Hubert Davis replaced? Sans a fluke tourney run he has been pretty meh

Just like the fluke run Pear had? If you guys don't get it done this year it may never happen.

As for Hubert it wouldn't break my heart if we made a change.
hubert's fluke run was done at a place loaded with basketball resources and a roster given to him by a HOF coach. Pearl actually built his. Hubert started his head coaching career rounding third base.

Come on dude, don't do that.

So if Auburn falls short, what are the excuses you're going to have? Asking this now to get ahead of the game.

I would call not making the elite 8 as dissapointing this season

I hear you but I think you're FF good. I seen enough of Auburn to say that.

I'm not sold on duke's guards, not sold on Alabama's defense.

I haven't seen Florida enough but I do like there big men from what I saw.

Come tournament time coaches and players a$$holes get tight, Pearl's been there before.

I think we are FF good as well. Tourney is a crapshoot though

Saying an ACC team has traveled an easy schedule road, when the SEC has been a shit league for a couple decades is laughable.
are you illiterate? She literally said this....

I have been thrilled that the SEC is a super power, but the cost of that has been we can get beat any week, cause the comp is so strong. How many years has Duke had to travel that same road?

And gave credit for all the years Duke had to navigate a very tough ACC conference schedule.

Its porbably a fair point assuming we all stay healthy. Auburns only 2 losses this year are to teams also being projected as 1 seeds
yea I'd say you guys have separated yourselves from the field right now. I look at the rest of the top 10 and I don't see anyone who is in your class on paper this year.

Florida has reallynlooked good lately and Duke probably has the most talent

della, you ignorant slut. Saying an ACC team has traveled an easy schedule road, when the SEC has been a shit league for a couple decades is laughable.

Enjoy your 15 min and maybe add another 10-15 teams to your league. That might help.

And Duke already beat the #1 team in the country and you lost to that powerhouse Vandy.

How about you make me a sandwich.

Damn, looks like your husband has done a number on you.

The problem is I didn't say that. You must have a reading comprehension issue.

I said, Duke played a tough non conference schedule
Duke plays all their conference games.
Duke has had to play tough conference schedules for years

Now, go change my brakes, not just the pads, the rotors too. Chop Chop

Has Houston played a weak schedule though? I remember them playing Bama and Auburn early in the year. I personally think Houston is an excellent squad.

How can the SEC not shit the bed? They had way too good of a season (OOC) to back up 100% in the tournament IMO. To not choke would be having 2-3 final 4 teams which is crazy difficult. Media IMO is setting the SEC up for failure. I could be wrong though. Last year, I did not like how the majority of SEC teams were officiated in the first round. Particularly UK, Auburn, and Florida.

Sec was/is really good this year, but that doesn't change the fact you need some luck on your side to make a deep run. That and you'll need to escape one or two games officiated like you were on the road.

No matter what schedule teams play, Kentucky showed how to beat Tennessee. Pack it into the paint and watch the orange clads throw up bricks.

yeah I mean Baker mazarra got ejected 6 minutes into our yale game over ehat shouls of been at best a flagrant 1.
Better guards than who?
If Florida's guard shoot the ball again like you did at auburn you wont be beat by anyone.

This is kinda like the SEC football, they thought they should’ve gotten more teams in because they thought they were the best in the sport. Playoffs show that wasn’t true. Louisville is on one of the best runs in basketball right now, yet the seed line doesn’t improve and we’re okay with that. Duke beat Auburn and has a good resume, they deserve a one seed if they continue winning.

Do you comprehend what you read before typing? Louisville has won 13 of its last 14 games, yet we Cardinal fans understand why we don’t move up in the seed line. Do you understand that?

as long as you acknwowledge the real reason you have won 13 out of the last 14 we are good here. BTW Auburn has won 16 out of our last 17 games while beating 6 ranked teams

The tournament will showcase who the frauds are, if the SEC is as great as you think then it will show. Winning games 3 months ago doesn’t mean you will win now, some teams regress and others progress.

I didn’t say Louisville has the best resume, just saying that not very many teams are winning as much lately. Our schedule has been weak and no one is claiming otherwise, but some guy who started this thread is salty because his team peaked in November and is pretty much a one dimensional team now.

Tennessee showed how to pluck a Cardinal. Just grab it by it's itty bitty little beak and start plucking.
Neither team is the same as three months ago. I don’t intend to dog on Tennessee, but your buddy AB cries about how unfair it is that the ACC is down. Nobody’s denying that it’s not down, but he’s adamant about it since Tennessee left its offense in 2024. Again, nothing meant towards you, just the Knoxville crier.
