For UK, the '89 season was of course when we got blasted and fell apart with the Eddie Sutton shenanigans. I mean....we had Shawn Kemp and he never got on the court. The team we HAD assembled would have kicked ass.

So while that season was our fault, obviously, the last season where UK fielded a team where we just outright sucked and weren't good enough, point blank period, was 1926-27 by Coach Basil Hayden (bourbon anyone?) Coach Rupp and Joe B each had a season apiece where they went .500.



So my point is that, save for (deserved) NCAA intervention, UK hasnt had a losing season of our own on the court volition since 1926-27.

That's cool and all but UK went 13-19 on the court. Everyone has a "reason" for why they finished under .500

The point is we've had 1 losing season since 1926-27. And that losing season was due to guys sitting and leaving. No one else can come close to boasting that level of success. I dont much care if you're interested or not.

Its not so much I didnt understand the point of the thread as I made it to LetsGo's post already triggered after reading the OP, which in my defense if that's all you actually read, reads exactly like I said. I may be a dumbass, but Im not an idiot. If I had actually read the entire thread (**** that, I rarely do) then I would obviously have sang a different tune.
