Guess he wanted to get that masters he was aiming for. Great addition.
Some will downplay it but he could have a huge senior year if he brings the right attitude. If nothing else, a fairly reliable shooter on a team that is somewhat questionable in that dept.
Best part is that Self has the leverage this time. Playing time will have to be earned.

Well....tbh it is kind of surprising. He was spotted in Louisville working out at a local gym. His mom insisted he was going pro no matter where it was. Self and him had a meeting that apparently didn't go well. I'd say it was a bit surprising...
He was in Louisville working out with a Personal Trainer based here, he wasn't visiting any school.
A Rafters poster who has relentlessly pounded the idea that KU's youth in the backcourt is a major red flag claims that KU is "still very young in the backcourt."

I enjoy reading the rafters for a laugh and to see some b-ball talk.
It is hilarious how dirty and how shitty KU, Duke and UNC are. I honestly can’t think of one reason anyone would go to those 3 schools
Back on topic, I was the most vocal anti-Vick person last year.
I didn’t care if he returned but the positive is Self doesn’t have to rely on him. We have depth so if he doesn’t play by the rules we don’t need him.
We get a guy who could be a knock down outside shooter. Perhaps he has something to prove and works harder than he has (which means something because his attitude, laziness and focus has been a concern.
Outside shooting could be one of our minor weakness so it at least gives us another weapon potentially.

It’s the most strange thing on this board. A regular UK poster comments in this actual thread, compliments Kansas, yet they all run to rafters to see what they’re saying. I will never understand
Could be good, could be a disaster (team cancer).. The Rug Doctor has his work cut out for him here. Lots of talent but several questionable attitudes on the team (Vick and the Lawson twins).

It’s one of the most active boards on Rivals, it’s free and they’re always talking about our teams over there. If one of the other blue bloods has a homepage like that where a few threads a day popped up about Kentucky you guys would periodically visit there to check it out too.
I think I’m just gonna start making stuff up and claim I read it on RR just to get you guys to respond. It is the off-season after all.
Or people could respond to the actual Kentucky fan that regularly posts on THIS board. But that makes too much sense.
He may not have the basketball future that most one and dones have but you could argue that getting him one more year as a surprise is comparable to getting a top 5-10 ranked freshman just before the season starts.

Well, I’m not defending how that poster went about making his post. I was just commenting on what you said about it being the strangest thing you see on this board. We discussed it some earlier this week and I think you inferred that it was odd that we even visit there at all.
By the way, people over there are saying that Johnson will lock Vick down in January and that Vick wouldn’t even get minutes in the Kentucky rotation. They’re also in denial that Vick returning could give KU better odds to win the title in the Vegas sports books. They do know he started for a Final Four team, right?

If I were a KU fan, I'd want to know what UK fans thought about KU as well.
It’s nice that we don’t even have to ask them what they think. They just let the world know all day everyday.
Big mystery for most. The 3 givens I'd say are Grimes, D.Lawson & Udoka. My best guess to start the year is Moore, Grimes, Vick, D. Lawson & Udoka. Now that could likely change but Self likes to start with experience.
Would be a great starting 5 with quality depth. Glad we get you guys at Rupp this season, no doubt. Can’t remeber the last time Duke, Carolina, Kansas, and Kentucky were all THIS loaded.

This could actually be the year that unc duke Kentucky and Kansas make up a final 4
