If they use the NET as the main seeding criteria

This is going to be an even more upset minded tournament. The metrics were basically built in November games, it doesn’t take much to realize how some teams were better then than now. On January 1, South Carolina was 86th in the NET, they have dropped 2 spots to 88th even though they are 2-15 in that time frame. The one seeds seem legit, there will be a lot of 3 through 6 seeds not making it past the first weekend. You heard it here first 😉

If South Carolina played Lousville's schedule the last 17 games I doubt they are 2-15. Hell South Carolina has a victory over Clemson this year

you are the one that started this thread as a means to prop the ACC up
Man we know the ACC is historically down. It’s mentioned every single day on this board. I don’t recall this many threads and mentions of the SEC sucking absolute cock for years on end on this board ever. It’s kinda pitiful how much it’s mentioned to justify certain teams losses. (Not talking about Auburn btw) as you guys have had an incredible season and run over the past few years with Pearl. At this point it’s just beating a dead horse. As SEC fans/teams (at the top of the conference) used to say for years on end in the past, “it only matters what you do in the tournament”.

Had nothing to do with the ACC, a team went 2-15 and only dropped 2 spots. That means that the NET is garbage and there will be quite a few seeds higher than a 5 seed going into the sweet sixteen. There’s one 3 seed that I hope we get to see again….,

I thought you wanted to play Ky again?

How many of those 15 losses were to teams ranked in the top 50 of the net? That will answer your Question. Why should they move down lower if no one behind them in the net rankings beat them.

Just follow my advice when you’re feeling out your bracket.

Louisville has more SEC losses than ACC losses. Conference pride is dumb but the SEC is absurdly good this year. Every team could fall on their face in 2 weeks too. Such is the nature of 1 & done tourney.

I like 5-6 teams in the SEC to do damage in the tourney so yes I am sure some SEC schools will lose early. I like 1 in the. Maybe 2 in the ACC. Sell me on your confidence with Louisville?

We aren’t great at anything, but we’re good at just about everything, if that makes sense. Sell me on the 5-6 SEC teams.

I think Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida could easily do some damage. Not really even sold on Florida but they could be a tough out. Louisville isn’t a top 10 team, but we don’t really have any bad losses outside of our second game of the year against Tennessee when we were figuring out rotations with a brand new team (literally entire roster turnover) and when Pryor went down prior to the Ole Miss game. Not saying we’ve played a hard schedule (obv we haven’t) but we did make the championship game against Oklahoma for the battle for Atlantis and lost by 5 after one of our best players went down with an ACL injury. We played Kentucky at full strength before their series of injuries in Rupp, and it was a close game (two possession) for the entirety of it, and Butler had his best game of the year. We were neck and neck with Duke the first 34 minutes of the game until they hit a couple key shots and free throws to put away the game the final 5 minutes ( this was also early December as we were trying to adjust our roster after losing two of our best players in Pryor and Koren Johnson) We beat the shit out of Indiana by 25 when they were ranked early on and lest not forget they have a pretty talented roster with 5 star players and portal transfers. Beat up a decent WVU team and also beat Clemson who is just outside of the top 10 by double digits. Like I said, I know we haven’t played a tough schedule, but we’ve won 17 of 18 games, and shouldn’t be overlooked.

We aren’t the same team, neither are y’all.

Auburn - Big and Deep team/ old team. Have 4 guys that can get hot from 3 combined with a NPOY candidate big man. Can beat you a number of ways.

Alabama - Can score at will a run teams outbof the gym. Shoot the ball well. May have the best PG in country. Him or clayton from Florida.

Florida - lot of big dudes and can throw a lot out at you combine with Clayton who with sears may be 1b as far as PG's go.

Tennessee - Best defense in the country. Solid guard play.

Missouri - Veteran roster with lots of scorers that can get hot.

Kentucky - If they were fully healthy I woule have more faith here.

Odds are Between tamu, arky, ole miss, miss st. vandy, uga one of these will probably get hot come tourney time.

If someone offered you Auburn, Duke, Florida and Houston or the field, which would you take? The reason for those 4 teams is they are the only 4 that are currently in KenPom's top 20 for both offense and defense.

I have an offseason long avatar bet with @bignish . He took Duke, I took the field.

He rarely posts so who knows. Although I like the bet, if he never posts then why bother.
