I would swear that Kentucky beat number 1 Michigan State. Plus it was the same damned night that Duke beat Kansas.

Your post is shit.

Hey Bert, how you like UVA's win over #7 UNC?

UVA with 4 top 10 wins this year. No one had more than that.
Go UVA.

Do you also count the losses?

Kentucky lost to a bunch of unranked teams, but did have 2 top 10 wins, at the time they played them. Of course for the purposes of this thread they no longer count.

Iowa led the BT with the most wins over top 25 teams with 7. don't know where that puts them vs other D1 schools.

Sorry returds: the post was
"Highest Ranked Team Each Team Has Beaten"

My brain is not shit because you can't type proper English or frame the question correctly.

Where did you go to elementary school?Eyeroll

My brain may be shit, but it still works. It is a good thing you are not trying to make a living using the language. A decent lawyer would eat you alive.

Hi, lawyer here. Using ordinary rules of statutory construction, we first turn to the plain meaning of "highest ranked team." If it has a plain and clear meaning, we end our inquiry. If not, the term is ambiguous and we reach into our toolbag of statutory construction canons. Here, the term is ambiguous because the time period of the ranking is not clear from the ordinary meaning of the term because rankings change over time.

However, that does not end our inquiry. The canon noscitur a sociis (words are known by the company they keep) says that the meaning of an ambiguous term may be determined by reference to the rest of the statute/contract/forum post. The OP clearly shows that the relevant ranking is the last ranking, not any ranking (else any team that beat UK would have beaten a #1 team, etc...).
