He def would've gotten more than 12 ppg combined from Storr and Griffen.

It's Self's fault that Griffen bricked wide open threes all year and has no other skills? Storr was just happy to collect a check and didn't work or buy in.

KU was top 10ish in defensive efficiency all year, with only a couple decent defenders in the rotation. They'd have been like 95 under Pope.

Guess it's just a coincidence that they were significantly more efficient scorers on much higher volume before they got to Kansas.

Fluctuation does happen. Ever seen a player that had identical stats every year and in every system? Storr's main problem was buy-in. He had great games at times, showing it wasn't the system holding him back. Maybe Pope would have tickled his balls a little more.

Low volume doesn't necessarily benefit shooting percentages. It means a lower chance to get into a rhythm. Griffen's a streaky shooter who offers nothing else. His percentages were similar to the year before until a slump at the end of the season, and better than his first year at Bama.

Storr's percentages weren't that much higher the season before. Mayo and Coit both had higher shooting percentages than the year before, despite a massive jump in competition. Under Pope, I'll bet they'd have doubled their shooting percentages though.

Aside from Cal, he's probably looking at Bill Self. As if Pope or anyone else would have crushed it with last year's team.
Dude, you have UK on your mind too much. And Self constructed the roster with ample time to do so, he takes full responsibility if you are saying the roster wasn't sufficient.

As for the list, no, Self is not overpaid. Besides him and Hurley, don't think there are other active coaches with two titles...

I think 5-10, minus Drew, are all overpaid. Oh, and Cal...

I do hold Self responsible for the roster. He recruited multiple players that were a poor fit and refused to recruit over his pet Harris.
