According to the rivals poster with his all time list, kstate (23) would be 3rd to KU (4) and Oklahoma State (16) in the XII. OU (25) and Texas (27) right behind kstate in the top 25. But that’s including 1990 and prior with equal weight which is skewing how bad kstate was 1993-2007.
And since 2000, I would put kstate at 6th or 7th.
Let’s go since 2000:
1) KU (played for 3 national titles, won 1, 5 final fours and a lot of league titles)
2) OU (couple final fours, multiple top 10 finishes)
3) Texas (final four and multiple elite 8/S16’s)
4) WVU (same as Texas)
5) Baylor (couple elite 8’s and sweet 16’s since 2008, top 5 last 2 years)
6) okie State (final four 2005, fell off some with Ford then Boyton)
7) Kstate (dead money until Frank martin, but couple elite 8’s and league titles since)
8) ISU (couple sweet 16’s and XII tourney titles)
9) Tech (elite 8 18 then played for national title in 19, but all is recent under Beard)
10) Tcu (hands down #10)
