Baha Mar is Memphis and then likely Texas Tech.

UK has Michigan State, Gonzaga, Indiana, St. John's, Louisville, whoever they play in ACC/SEC Challenge (hopefully Duke), Bellarmine, NC Central, and a few more TBD (hopefully not Q4 scrubs).
I do not know why but I feel like they will avoid Duke-UK pairings for some reason. Maybe not, we'll see. I am thinking Duke wil get one of Florida or Tenn, and Ky will get unc.

Yeah, I could see that, especially since Duke and UK played last year and they haven't played UNC since 2023 and they don't play again until next year in the CBS Sports Classic. Who knows. UK and Duke aren't scheduled to play again in the Champions Classic until 2027, so I think the ACC/SEC Challenge with be UK/Duke either this year or next.

If I'm not mistaken UK will also play a SWAC team that I guess is still TBD. Cal started a stupid 5-year "Unity Series" in 2021 to play an HBCU from the SWAC every year so this should be the last year they are obligated to that.

"The 2025 Men's Championship will introduce an entirely new structure for early-season tournaments, with the expanded event featuring international-style group play with championship matchups." That's awesome. Love that format.

Those are two pretty meaty schedules.

Auburn is playing:

Houston In Birmingham, AL
Purdue in Indianapolis
the NIL tourney in vegas
Arizona in a home and home. at Auburn this year. At arizona next year
Acc/Sec challenge game
I love that many of the top programs have really stepped up in recent years to play meatier schedules rather than just a token top tier games, coupled with an MTE and/or conference challenge games. It prepares you for the rigors of conference play, and a couple of losses have very little effect on seeding. Michigan State has been doing it for years and we now have several teams doing the same.

I laugh when a team wins 20+ games and misses the tourney because they played a joke of a non-conference schedule. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best!

Kentucky can have a large payoff anytime they add another home game. It ain't like at Auburn. UK tickets for an extra game outside the season ticket package at Rupp can raise a fortune.
yeah you are behind on the times. home game tickets arent what at all what drives the market now.

Auburn lost to Barry University by 15 in a exhibition in 2019 and then went to the final 4

If they don't set up Duke and UK to play a home and home the next 2 years, they're idiots.

The NCAA, TV networks et.al. protect the precious Dukies. If it is not favorable for the Dukies it will not happen.

If it happens they will pull Duckie Vitale out of the grave and through artificial intelligence let him tell us about the greatness of Coach K and find subtle ways to diminish Kentucky.

The play by play will be a Dukie and the color man will be from Syracuse. They will tell us that the SEC was so weak that a worthless Kentucky team could dominate, but the poor Dukies had to get past the Celtics and Knicks in the rugged ACC.

They got caught with their pants down last year, they were so sure duke was going to win, they had Jay Williams all set to do a full duke and Flagg suck fest, which is what they did the entire game.
They still did the suck fest, it just came across very awkward, because UK put a big dent in their big night.
But, duke has a road game in the challenge this year, so they're going to have a tough game either way, might as well make it a good one.
