Here's hoping that Bill Self forgets it's the elite 8.
We'll see.
Vegas?
Duke fans seem to be appalled that they're not playing within 2 miles of Cameron for once.
I would expect Kansas to decimate that zone the way they shoot on the perimeter and can penetrate and pass
Length bothers Kansas. Duke has a lot of length, especially inside.
Kansas has actually done quite well against length this year. The only loss they have against length all year has been Baylor. Beat A&M, Baylor, Kentucky, Syracuse.
Only comparable games to Duke was Baylor and Cuse as they're both long and played zone.Kansas has actually done quite well against length this year. The only loss they have against length all year has been Baylor. Beat A&M, Baylor, Kentucky, Syracuse.
Is it just me, or does this game seem like the ONLY marquee game to date(in the NCAAT)? Just seems this tourney hasn't had "that" game,or games. I guess that's what you get with all the upsets. I mean no UK/AZ. Or UVA/UK..Or UVA/AZ...No MSU/Duke. Or UNC/Michigan...Just really no interesting, P5 match-ups.I feel like the Duke KU game is the true start of the tournament.

This is the de facto Final 4 and if this winner plays Villanova, that will be the de facto championship game.
I disagree because I believe Michigan can beat any of the 4 on the right side in a game straight up. They can get hot and Wagner can be a match-up problem.
Wasn't there a stat that said something like since 1990, Duke and Kansas have been the two winningest programs in college basketball?
I mean how dare they want a true neutral court. The audacity.Duke fans seem to be appalled that they're not playing within 2 miles of Cameron for once.

K-State didn't seem to have a problem playing Kentucky "at home."
As if it will be 1/10th as loud as Allen Fieldhouse.
Duke has nothing to complain about. Most talented roster in the country, supposed greatest coach of all time, and they can't earn a 1 seed over the likes of Xavier?
False.Funny coming from a Kentucky fan, who's coach and fans cry about seeding/refs/NCAA/ sites YOU NAME IT
I’m genuinely shocked it isn’t essentially a pick ‘em. Not sure who wins, but KU +3.5 is a lockDuke -3.5, O/U 155.
Oof. I wouldn’t bet either side of that with someone else’s money, looks dead on to me.
It's down to 3 on most sports books. Personally not touching that one.I’m genuinely shocked it isn’t essentially a pick ‘em. Not sure who wins, but KU +3.5 is a lock
3 keys to me for KU to win
1. Shoot a good % from 3. Can't shoot sub 30% from deep. Probably need to hit 40% and up against that zone.
2. Secure the defensive rebound. KU's first shot defense has been solid all year. Where they've been bad and what has killed their defensive efficiency is all the offensive boards they give up. If they cannot hold Duke to a decent amount of offensive rebounds then they will lose.
3. Beat Duke down the court. Goes hand in hand with securing the rebound. When they get the rebound they need to push it and keep Duke from getting comfortable in the zone.
They do these 3 I feel confident they can pull out the win. Now we'll see if they can pull off any of these.

Offensive rebounding and 2nd chance points today for Duke could be what wins them the game. They have an overwhelming advantage there.the more and more i look at stats, etc. on these two teams the more i feel like duke is gonna break it off in ku this afternoon. i've been completely wrong before though. only saving grace for KU is they do look really similar in areas to unc (who gave duke trouble), but unc was one of the best rebounding teams in the country. ku's not even in the top half of all D1.

Certainly possible. It will be an upset if KU wins. But they have the offensive efficiency to do it.
If I were Self, I'd have been practicing some traditional two big sets with De Sousa over the last week. F what got you there. This is do or die.
